wasn't that already tried and discovered not to work? Did you just connect those points? Did you do something special, or did other people do something wrong?
If theres a definitive way to get it working I'm gonna head to newegg.

Why you have 10602 Points at 3DMark03 with 16 Pipes and detected as X800XT Platinum ?? Right, it must be 12 Pipes at X800 Proand why you have at ATI-Tool default 526/573Mhz Clock shown???
Do you flashed the Bios to X800XT and is run the 2.0ns Ram then problemless at 573Mhz or you change the Ramclock in Bios before flashing? I wanne edit the X800XT Bios clocks but radedit 1.102b dont like this Bios and i found no other Bioseditor?
Because in all X800Pro reviews the Rams runs maximum 530MHz, so 573Mhz is not possible to boot, i think. Alot of strange thinks
From what manufacturer is your Card and bulk or retail? (ATI, Sapphire, Powercolor...?)

First shot and second shot is X800Pro @ XT 16Pipes mod 475/450 shot.
3rd shot is 16pipe mod overclock 603/598 shot.
X800Pro default 9200 points.

i take it u need to flash the card with an xt bios shut down then mod the card then boot it back up?
blueremy: And do you flash it and make an vmod?
I dont think that the 2.0ns Rams run @ 573Mhz without an vmod.
And whar manufacturerer is your card , sapphire, powercolor, ati???

mine is ok for 600mem out the box with a 80 mm blowin on it, core max's around 576 (stock all)
My X800Pro card is no vmod 567/580 stock all,
no 16pipes mod 617/603( X800 silencer cooled, pencil vmod),
16Pipes mod 603/598( X800 silencer cooled, pencil vmod)

I just tried this and I cant get it working. My card is still recognized as a pro even after I flash the bios with the one from ocfaq.com. Anyone fancy uploading a bios taken direct from an x800xt card for me
do you delete/reinstall the driver after all?
but if the pipes are damaged so you must have some artefacts....with what material you connect the golden points?

The sapphire bios wont flash with flashrom 2.37. It comes up successfull but the device ID stays as 4a49 and doesnt go to 4a50. blueremy what did you use to flash your bios?
I used the old defogger silver conductive paint, seems to have gone between the 2 points ok. Is that good enough to bridge the gap like it was with the old athlons?
