    Official XtremeSystems 3D CONTEST INFO HERE!

    Well it looks like it's time for another AWESOME contest here at Xtremesystems.org... details:

    GRAND PRIZE Nventiv Mach 2 GT CPU Cooler MODIFIED by Chilly1, Xtremesystems.org's own phase change GURU and BB Mods's XS's Coder extraordinaire!

    VALUED AT OVER $1000USD

    SECOND PRIZE OCZ VX4000 DDR 2 x 512mB kit


    Description:

    This is a 3D benchmarking contest using Futuremark 3DMark 2005 version 1.2.0. The goal of the contest is to submit a completed 3DMark 2005 score to an "entry" thread to match an unknown secret score (magic number) that has been pre-selected by Xtremesystems.org 3D Team Captain.

    The Magic Number:
    The unknown secret score will be between 2000-6000 Marks.

    Starting date:
    October 10, 2005

    Specifics:
    All entrants will be allowed to submit 2 (two) different screenshots! So go ahead and try to "bracket" the secret score!!

    Winner:
    The winner will be the entrant who submits a score CLOSEST to the "magic Number". In the event of a tie, two submissions of the same score, the first posted will be the winner. In the event of a tie between two entrants, one equally higher and one lower than the "Magic Number", the first posted will be the winner.

    As usual, XS Staff are precluded from winning, and we'd like to say a big thank you to EXTREME COOLING TECHNOLOGIES for their generous donation of the Mach. Thanks ECT!

    Haha, the irony. I just sold my x800xt pe last week and I'm left with a card that does 100points less than 3000.

    Glad to know I have a card that can run the full spectrum of the score range....but getting it down to 2k might be a little tough without some AA/AF

    Charlie....what are the rules on edits? Can people just placeholder?

    Ill be putting on a verry special set of mod's to the mach 2 gt's firmware and hardware.special gasblend from chilly1 and more custom gear from me.

    The "magic number" is BETWEEN 2000-6000... two picks will give you 2 SHOTS at that number, or two opportunities....

    i dont really get it, OK, u mean i can submit 2 scores with ANY graphics card with points between 2000 - 6000 in 3Dmark 05? and u said "complete 3Dmark 2005 score" meaning, dat all tests must be done with FM approved drivers? n how bout OR links?

    Show two screenshots with ANY scores you want between 2000-6000. If you show the right score (or are the closest), you win. No need to run FM approved drivers, no need to submit it to ORB....just get the two scores you want and post SSs of them.

    Just post a SS clearly showing the score--take a SS of your ORB result if you want, so long as it's actually yours

    Then repeat for a different score to double your chances of winning.
