OPPAINTERs early G70 watercooled results!

Check it out.

Did some benchmarking last night with some 7800GTX cards.
The cards are running at stock voltage and no LOD bias tweaks.

I used Swiftech MCW-50 water blocks on the cards.
And my PCIce -90C cascade on my FX-55.

Specs:

DFI NF4-SLI DR
2x 512mb OCZ VX memory
600W adjustable OXZ PSU

I'll try and do some more later today.

34k on 3dmark03! thats beats my 01 score :P
wouldnt mind seeing some none SLI shots... although looking at pricing... ~£350+vat here in the UK. too pricey for most.

They more or less power consumption than the 6800ultras?

I have a single card on my 24/7 rig. This was with a AMD 3700 at 3000MHz.

Yea, but its only the SLI thats giving a good nature score, all other scores are beaten by a single x800! try a single G70 and show us the 01 performance

01 is cpu/ram limited now as far as I'm concerned and I doubt we'll see much more improvement with better vid cards. I'm betting 03 will become the same way within the year...which is funny because i remember how gpu bound 03 was when it first came out, didn't matter if you were running 2ghz or 4ghz---not much anyway.

That said, This is the highest AMD I have ever seen bench 3d!!! These FX chips keep getting better, or else OPP just has some magic ability with them. Neither of which I would rule out right away. The 7800s seem real nice and aside from those huge cpu clocks this is probably akin to what my kind of cooling would be capable of, so in that respect this is some VERY interesting information =]

Got any gpu pelts lying around?? or are those pretty useless with cards dissipating this much heat?

What clocks on the cards? 532 on core?

Amazing results, too bad they are sooo expensive.
