    Celeron D 320 goes wild ;)

    Hello guys,

yesterday i got my new toy a Celeron D 320 with an Asus P4C800 Rev.2.
I start overclocking it to FSB200 with results in 3.6GHz at 1.425V.

Tonight i wil post SuperPi @ 3.9GHz from last night...at 4GHz my power suply blew up (Tagan TG380-E00)

    3.6GHz CPU-Z

EDIT: I forgot some infos, all is done @ air with the boxed cooler around 20C° in my room.

    Nice!
I just got my 325J, will test it later tonight, hoping for 43s.
    Any plans on better cooling?

LOL better safe for a new PSU

Celerons have always been good clockers, my Celeron 2.4 could do 3.4 ghz on stock voltage and stock cooling

as far as i can imagine my best try was 46s at SuperPi 1M with 3.9GHz...
Of course better cooling, but first i must have a new psu and then maybe weekend i will try the Zalman 7000 (if i get one cheap enough).

Yeah, man my old Celeron 2GHz did 3.2GHz with default but for 3.3 i must push the core to 1.8V

I hope the new psu can handle it and will not blow up like the tagan...

My 325J just booted Windows and did superpi @ 4.2GHz. Gonna work more on it later with clockgen and some improved timings. I'm using Antec TrueP 480W and everything seems fine so far.

No, not close to stock voltage, around 1.65v actually.
I got 44sec but that will improve, 222FSB 1:1 2.5-7-3-3. Going 2-5-2-2 later tonight, I hope. And this is with highend watercooling. The chip is a week 50 IIRC. Remember that this is slowest speed-binned celly D E0. This sucker is going under LN2 later this summer.

yes most celerons hit at least 4.3GHz on the stock cooler without much effort, give it a little more volts and move those clocks up man

Okay, did some quick testing. This sucker wont pass superpi over 4.25GHz even with lots of voltage and watercooling. I did however improve the SuperPi result to 40s (4218MHz, 222FSB 1:1 2-5-2-2.) Kinda good for a celly I think...
A bit dissapointed that it wouldn't go higher, maybe it goes higher for just a screenshot but what's the value of that?

Didn't get any clockgen to work with me, only uguru worked with me, and uguru is faaar from good.

We need to discuss the ownership of that cpu, brother

Anyway, give it what it takes, the AS8 undervolt anyhow.

From 44 -> 40s by just changing timings, that sounds good.
However, it lacks 10-12s behind a Scottie.

Just got a 320, I bought it to flash my new P4P for my Dothan's and then I was going to give a computer to my mum but now I'll definely see what it can do!

It is a Prescott! It was the cheapest socket 478 chip on NCIX. I thought they misprinted it.

Cool, I was looking at it on NCIX and it looked too cheap for a relatively "new" chip. It is a Celeron but still.
