    Talking Base clocking...yawn!

    Hi all!

I decided to test if my 2600K would scale with ln2 cooling? It didn't!
Then I decided to test if I can do new record in maxxxmem? I couldn't!
Then there was nothing else to try, but the base clocking abilities of MIVE and 2600K? Success!!!!

In the end I hardware was able to max out around 111.1MHz. That is completely sick 11.1% gain from stock

If there would be endless time, I think little bit more could be possible with this 2600K.

Temperature was -95C in the end. I am not sure what it did, but that was working.

System + genius pot for memory™ (price is negotiable ):

    What next....
You are as good as your samples are!

this is the soul of overclocking trying the get best out of what you got

unfortunately many newbies doesnt get it and keeps complaining i dont have this i dont have this etc..

those are some really sick ram clocks man! just need a better CPU to break the WR!

and i never thought the day would come when an 11% OC is extreme

"...yawn" is right for the overclocker, but for us viewers, it's "woohoo!"
Signatures make my posts look huge... but I'm not humble enough to completely remove my signature, so I kept this note explaining it.

    congrats
111 on ln2... and not fully stable... so probably 106 fully stable on air?
yeah, no, thanks... im not touching that platform

    Heh nice, congrats

SB/P67 is one hell of boring platform, I'm so glad I didn't jump on that bandwagon.

incredible work there. very impressive, that CPU IS SICK. Now if that CPu could hold the WR if it coudl do a few multis more

    Scatter benching indeed!

It is kind of amazing how intel can limit everything so well.. it is very boring for overclockers, but normal users could not care less.

    Unbelievable

New bios coming soon allowing lower than 4-4-4-8 subs, sure you know which one's i mean petri, that would be the time to reattempt maxmem considering current record done with a board/bios allowing lower main subs than that.

That might be good idea, after I have found better CPU. I would need only one or two multipliers more, like someone said earlier

yes agreed, it really sucks that a memory bench is so cpu bound, reminds me of many 3d benches

I say with the lower subs and 1 multi you will have it easy.
