I've seen a few too ... I know there is one from the past year in the worklog section, but not sure if it was ever finished.

Might be a good idea to use "G5" in your google search attempts as well, since that was the common name for many of these boxes.

the closest your gonna get to it, without all the extensive mods, and even then throwing in a H2O system will be very difficult, would be for you to just get a Lian Li V2000 series.

Ive tried working with mac cases, and trust me, its very difficult to get everything to sit properly, and its also difficult to fit everything nicely.

Save yourself the headache, and get a lian li, or even a silverstone TJ-07, as those can end up looking blingier when done right with water.

    Miyuki: W3580 6GB DDR3 P6T-Dlx

[12:38] Naekuh: i love watching u get the firing squad on XS
Its my fault.. and no im not sorry about it either.

i would, but when i can get a mac pro case for free compared to $300, i think im better off with the mac pro.
also there won't be a cd/DVD drive put in, but there will be an ssd and a 640gb or 1 TB wd black

The thing is huge so I thought that would be an advantage. Anyone got any ideas my sketchup skillz are poor. I have access to a mech eng workshop and engineer at work

Much better place for a PSU in a WC'd computer imo.... any leaks aren't going to drip straight into it! (I've had that happen... ).

im assuming u had to drop in a new motherboard plate..

unless the G5 was made off the intel boards, which the newer mac's are.

Then i dont see a problem with mounting.

But when i did it a very long time ago.. i remember the board on a MAC was not the same as the typical ATX layout.
A lot of the rear had to be cut, and then a new motherboard plate had to be added.
I recall i used a Lian Li back plate.

Then you had to make rails so the plate wouldnt slide all over the place..

Ahhhhhhhh.... u see why i got tired of cutting up cases...

I made an entirely new backplate attached it to the rear of the case, then used small square stacks of double-sided foam take to attach the motherboard tray to the back of the case. The motherboard is firmly attached to the back plate, the foam tape is just there to make sure it doesn't wobble back and forth. It also provides for some vibration dampening.
