Few things that I have come across the board that is troublesome

As soon as I go over 5 Ghz I sometimes have a failed OC, not always...normally when I reboot from Windows, the board then loads F3 bios and I have to reflash to the later bios, very annoying.

If I use level 1 LLC the board undervolts by .05v, if I use LLC level 2 I get an overvolt of 0.04v?

    Any comments?

Lastly how do I swap from one bios chip to another in the Bios screen?

You can't swap BIOS chips, but you can flash a newer version to the backup bios. Hold Alt-F12 during POST and it'll flash whatever version is in the main BIOS to the backup. Recommended to load the defaults before flashing.

, a lot of people are having trouble getting it to boot with the higher multi's regardless of good cooling and extra volts, maybe its the cpu's i hope not i hope its a bios thing, also have you manually set the bclock as mine is at 99.8 where as yours is the correct 100 , nice going

Yes, i set it to 1002 in the BIOS. I got sick of people saying "Oh thats not 5Ghz that's 4989Mhz" ect.....

I also manually set the PLL voltage instead of using the Auto PLL overclock feature.

But yes i've been extremely happy with the F7A bios and my overclocking has gone extremely well. I'm sure the chip is capable of more, maybe 5.6 if i really push it, but as a personal goal, 5.5Ghz is really enough. I'll leave 5.6/5.7+ to the guys who really know what they are doing and have better cooling than me.

**I also heard that the F7B bios had problems with AHCI and was removed because of that.

    Looking Good

Ok this what I got so far...

One thing I noticed @ 4.5 seems to hit a wall with 1600Mhz ram so I overclocked to 1866Mhz & man that made a huge difference.

Any problem like what Asus' P67 boards (all models) are having? There seems to be many frustrated users. All kinds of problems...DOA, not OCable, not stable, glitches left and right, etc....That's why I do not want to be a beta tester. Hope the dust will clear soon or else I will have to wait until 2nd half before doing any upgrade.

I have noticed a problem with Gigabyte Dynamic Energy Saver 2. My CPU is currently at 4.5Ghz @ 1.265v.

Anyhow i decided to install DE2 and see what it does, but when i enable Dynamic Energy Saver it puts my voltage to 1.58v . Maybe this software is designed to work with everything on the motherbaord being set to Auto and default settings?

Has anyone else come across such an issue?

Wow 5.5ghz amazing WITH HT ON!!!! that must be a new on. That is impressive I must say the least jack!

Hmm that is odd with DES2, what i do know is that if you don't install DES two then phase switching doesn't occur(as in 2 phases or 4 phases at a time) 12/12 phase occurs automatically other than when OCing.

Maybe DES hasn't been properly updated? IDK how it can change your vcore?
