    check out this crazy liquid!

I want some. It would be interesting to pull a vacuum on this stuff and see exactly how low of a boiling point you can reasonably get. Maybe could lower the CPU temp by 20c or so just buy pulling a bit of a vacuum.

This experiment was at atmospheric pressure. Pretty cool.

pretty cool but doesn't seem really practical or beneficial.

    It's like fluorinert but with a much lower boiling point. Here's a 1 gallon container of Novec 7100 for $380 -> http://www.copsplus.com/prodnum5327.php

I found it interesting that Novec 7000 is a replacement for HCFC-123 in autocascade applications. Must say those guys at 3M make some damn interesting solvents.

Ambiant air temp is ~70F ........Whats the benefit @ 94F??????
    The Laws of Thermodynamics say:

Zeroth Law: "You must play the game."
    First Law: "You can't win."
Second Law: "You can't break even."
Third Law: "You can't quit the game."

Do you wanna Play Thermodynamics ???????? I forgot "you must"

Novelty? Complex solution to a simple problem? Very quiet computing? That's just three in 10 seconds

Interesting so what would happen if you say filled a water cooling loop with the stuff? Would that in theory do better than water and since its a solvent wouldnt by that fact make it anti-microbial? At a minimum filling heat-pipes with this stuff would be fantastic.

    Ermm...
The boiling point of a liquid is defined as the point at which the vapor pressure of the liquid is equal to its own vapor, this is an issue...Equilibrium will occur unless you have a very nice radiator setup. This seems like it could be interesting in a closed loop, modified liquid system with some kind of trap for the vapor. Increase velocity, decrease pressure, decrease boiling point.

Looks like fun to play with
What if the hokey pokey really is what it is all about?

Needs a complex pressure system such as two pumps one after and one before rads with 2-3 360 rads in parralell. This should give enough of a pressure difference to make it work.

i do like the way this looks its cool

but with the i5 540 with the hs on the core temp would be lower than 50c lol

i think it would be a good solution for a oil replacemnt if you were running oil rig
    I LOVE LAMP!
