Interesting tho, Youngpro was singled out in comp last year and everyone layed down the ban hammer, shouldn't the same rules apply to others ????

Yep, but facts need to be checked first.
If Hiwa would like to share some info, that would go a long way with us all.

Mate please don't play your GT2 cheat down. I will not stand for it. You did not win within rules in GOOC last year. You used what would be considered a cheat here and everywhere else to get the GT2 boost to win the comp. It is a different sort of issue for sure but it still highlights foul play used to win a contest. I've been told by people how you keep saying how you out tweaked us all in the contest and won on skill. Please cut that crap out!
Ok, then SF3D and Elmor used the exact same "cheat" to win GOOC 2008.
We did the same as them, are you calling them cheaters too? Better to call us "prepared"

proof please
yours was 100% proven to be dodgy against a very handy HWBOT database and further testing after the event had finished
same can be done with their scores if that was the case
What was the cheat? I think everyone here can make a determination...
This really pisses me off.. I spent a load of cash to compete fairly... Andre selling scores... wow... looks like we can't trust his scores... who knows where his hardware or scores really came from... thats just ty....
Seriously Andre, you suck... if you did in deed sold your score... I think his win from the HWbot contest should be taken away... and the money should be directed to who really won... what an ass...
If you remember, when we went over rules, I asked to ban access to registry and I that was denied. As for 2008, I kept my mouth shut and moved on, I was very happy with the freestyle win. And if I had lost in 2009 I would have kept my mouth shut and congratulated the winner for pulling off the win per the rules. Even if in 2008, they won per the rules, you dont see them calling foul on us for 2009? Did you see us congratulate and respect the win, yes.
back on topic.

skinnee,
Seriously man.. you should know better... I do give you props for telling the truth.. but what the f@#k... Seriously... Just as I thought the community couldn't get worse... I'm just ashamed to be apart of this crap.... Makes me rethink of why I wanted to be involved... If people like Andre are on top.. what are others doing... real nice.. makes me sick...

there is still not an true explanation from Fugger or Vapor what exactly they did. They had much lower clocks than most competitors, GT2 is NEVER possible to go past GT1 with that system configuration. Basically that score WAS NOT possible unless you used a mipmap or a certain form of that cheat or something similar..........
They gave many explanations just after the comp, the next day and then subsequent days and months following the competition.
Charles is basically just dodging bullets and trying to find some technicality to explain the fact he had to resort to cheating to win a contest. Why has he never come clean about exactly what he did and how he obtained that score. Because he cheated!
I did not cheat, knowledge is not cheating. Had I used a program or switched cpu's to a golden one then that would be bad.

I'll give my opinion.
Lose many hours and money in a country where hardware and technology is very difficult to get, for people making impressive results deceitful and worthless, and worse yet, share ( or sell) it.
The community of overclockers do not need this kind of people.
Furthermore, I believe that light punishments, incentives are up to the cheaters, because they know that the penalty is light.
Only with exemplary punishment, ie, removing cheaters from our community forever, will not appear new cheaters and only honest people will participate in our community.
I know it's hard, but for me, once cheater, always cheater ... and more .... if you cheated and was once discovered, may have cheated many times without anyone knowing.
Buy score = cheat; chance codec = cheat; photoshop = cheat....is all the same...cheat is cheat.
This is my opinion and I know I have this right ... and I say this clearly to everyone because I have never made any such dishonesty and I know I'll never do.
Light punishment = more cheaters in the community
Charles please let's end this discussion forever. Please admit in clear concise language what you did exactly that can be replicated!
Can we stop trashing this thread? The spotlight is on the MOA2010 online qualifier and the individuals who submitted scores that they didn't achieve. I am glad that Cameron came forward and explained this. Now, I'd love to hear what Hiwa has to say for himself. I eagerly look forward to seeing what sort of punishments are awarded
The information cannot be shared, my choice. It's best that way, have some trust in that decision.

Cleanup is needed, Dinos did a great job to derail.

yeah last time i checked my sig I was still working for Gigabyte Australia.
can't wait to see the angle you're trying to come up with
so msi is awarding msi sponsored individuals participating in an msi event...where everyone is invited?Last month ago I recieved the new motherboard from MSI..MSI BIG BANG X58 and going to test and settup under LN2..
whats the prize for buying a board and trying to compete against sponsored individuals?
Mike and Gautam were on a retail board rev 1.1
Lots of parts are sponsored Hondacity, this was brought up before and deemed acceptable as long as it is a retail unmodified sample. It takes know how and resources to get a score of this level done, not just parts in a box = win. My board is a 1.0 with all the bios issues, not fit for any competition.
