Just got Phenom II x6 1090T Retail
Default Vcore , set CPU clock ratio 20x (200x20) = 4GHz
Boot right into Windows 7 , run Cinebench R10, 11.5 , fool around with wPrime32 for more than an hour, no instability at all
Sweet
Biostar boards are fun to overclock with
Testing Platform
===========================================
AMD Phenom II x6 1090T (3.2GHz , 9MB Total Cache )
Team Xtreme LV Series DDR3-2000 2GB x2
Biostar TA880G HD
ASUS HD3450 256MB PCI-e
SPI 270W mATX PSU ( I know .....I will get another PSU to fix)
GELID Tranquillo , with WING 12 PL (it looks very nice in dark, trust me)
GELID GC Extreme T.I.M.

Does this CPU work with the M3A79-T?
Still not supported with latest 1501 bios it seems. I guess this is why using the biostar?
Happy Overclocking dude anyways, looks like a nice CPU to test

A few questions imamage
1. Did you use the stock heat-sink for the 4Ghz clock
2. What was the temps like at 4Ghz
3. Do you have 32bit win7 or 64bit.
4. I see a 4.39Ghz clock there is that stable or not.
5. Are you using Kingston Hyper-X or something else?

1. Nope, I am using GELID Tranquillo with GC Extreme TIM,
but Stock HSF should handle it fine
2. Forget to install Biostar Temp Monitor Software , but it's rather cool compare with my 555BE *(unlocked to B55 ) @ 4GHz full load
3. 32bit Windows 7 , sorry!
4. It does boot , but can't enter Windows, as I didn't set the Vcore (Stock Vcore 1.35V)
5. Nope, Team Xtreme LV Series DDR3-2000 2GBx2 kit

You can't know is it stable or not if you dont run some stablity test. Show as some linx or occt temperature on this setings.

I was limited by the mATX PSU (270W)
at 4.4GHz, loading Windows 7 draw around 280W and my PSU just "reboot"
not to continue

yep , too bad I don't have another spare PSU that can handle > 400W
the CPU itself should handle it with ease

Local Price from Hong Kong
Phenom II x6 1055T ( 2.8GHz , Turbo Core 3.3GHz) $ 1,699 ( ~$ 218USD)
Phenom II x6 1090T ( 3.2GHz , Turbo Core 3.6GHz ) $ 2,599 ( ~ $335USD )
a bit overpriced, but only few available
(AMD got mad about "early sales" with 1055T, so they limit the stock around to keep things in check)
From my source only < 10 pcs of 1090T available in Golden Shopping Center today, but all were sold / pre-ordered ( I was lucky to get the last one)

WOW!
Very nice clocks on that 1090T.
I wanted to order one today for tomorrow delivery here in UK, but not a single shop is even doing preorders!
PS. Quite extreme to run 6-core Black Edition CPU with mATX 270W PSU

Why did AMD not use a full size fan for the HS?
I am jealous of your fortunes for sure.

Congrats!
I'm really looking forward to what the temps are on that beast.
Either way, 4G at stock volts is nuts

Considering that my 955 isn't stable above 4.2 GHz using dry ice, I'd say we've come a long way.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Rule 3:
When it comes to computer news, 70% of Internet rumors are outright fabricated, 20% are inaccurate enough to simply be discarded, and about 10% are based in reality. Grains of salt--become familiar with them.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!
Random Tip o' the Whatever
When you are looking for a quality soldering iron, pay the premium and get something like a Weller WESD51 (or better yet a Hakko 937). It's worth it.

I am looking forward to selling someone really push this chip. 4.7+ on air seems possible. If we can finally get a 5ghz stable chip on water for 24/7, this will be a landmark for AMD.
Please tell me you will at least try water eventually!
I need a job, b/c I want one badly now!
