Anybody tested these out yet? Do they indeed fix the AMD-V issues?

Now there are two options in the BIOS ("AMD-V" and "Virtualization"), and neither of them work.

I've got both set to "Enabled" and I'm still not getting hardware virtualization when I boot into Windows. VMWare, VirtualPC, and VirtualBox all detect that its been disabled in the BIOS.

    I'm using a Phenom II X4 920.

Edit: by the way, do you know if the issue where the FSB resets to 200MHz after the PC resumes from S3 sleep mode is fixed in these BIOS?

I've tried resetting my CMOS manually using the jumper on the motherboard. I've also tried all 4 possible combinations of the two new Virtualization options on and off...

Still nothing. The new settings don't appear to do anything at all.

Exactly which BIOS options are you turning off and on? There's now more than one associated with virtualization, which is very confusing.

"AMD-V" and "Virtualization" have been set to enabled, and that tool still detects that virtualization isn't enabled in the BIOS:

Can someone else who's flashed these BIOS please turn on "virtualization" and "AMD-V," then run the app Lord Trident linked?

I want to see if I'm the only one having this problem, or if it's everyone.

Just tried my Phenom II X4 920 in another motherboard (also a Foxconn board) and AMD-V did work while in that motherboard...so it's not the CPU.

I've got it back in the Destroyer now, and I'm still unable to get it to recognize AMD-V is activated in the BIOS. I'm going to try resetting the CMOS from the jumper again, maybe that will help.

Also, can you tell me EXACTLY what settings need to be enabled in the BIOS? There's now "AMD-V" and "Virtualization." Do they both need to be set to "ENABLED," or just one?

Virtualization works just fine with P16 Bios with AMD C&Q enabled, turn off for OCing and it turns off. I have been unable to use AMD-V app under windows 7 32bit or 64bit no singed drivers. I belive AMD C&Q turns offs any thing that could harm cpu when OCing to keep heat down. Even the other guys cpu Virtualiztion is turned off when OCing do to over heating.

G10,G12,G13 Virtualization worked just fine as long as AMD C&Q was enabled, Turning off C&Q not only down clocked cpu but turns AMD-V off. For me found this to be true with both windows 7 32bit & 64bit.
For me G12 had error when flashing Bios, Lord Trident could this have something to do with AMD-V not being tied to C&Q?

I did notice a little performance out of G10 in stock settings, but lost it with G12 and G13. Sorry to OC had to go back to P16 and to use virtual hdd or pc for work I run in stock setting for cpu C&Q enabled.

I us PHII x4 940 125w will be upgrading soon so please keep up the good work because this is a good mobo.

    Thank you, Lord Trident

Ok, I just reset my CMOS using the button on the motherboard...still nothing.

First, I booted without changing a single setting, checked with the AMD-V utility, it detected AMD-V was disabled in the BIOS.

I rebooted and took a look in the BIOS, "Virtualization" was already set to "Enabled," but "AMD-V" wasn't, so I set it to "Enabled" as well. Booted back into Windows, and the AMD-V utility still detected that AMD-V was disabled in the BIOS.

Cool & Quiet SHOULD NOT be required to enable AMD-V (it isn't on any other motherboard I own), but I made sure it was enabled anyway. The AMD-V utility still detects that AMD-V is disabled in the BIOS.

As far as I can remember, AMD-V never worked on P16 either, but I always had Cool&Quiet disabled because I was overclocking.

@ Lord Trident: Can you please have them test with a Phenom II X4 920? There's got to be something wrong with the BIOS...
