    Asrock M3A770DE

I have this motherboard for some time now and I didn't have time to try it until last two days a little, some quick benching with X4 620, L3 unlocked and few boot tests with X4 965...

I was benching my 620 X4 before with Gigabyte 790FXT so it is cool to compare, you can buy two and a half M3A770DE mobo for the price of one Giga FXT... Setup is the same, Big Typhoon in both cases, the same memory, psu, hdd, gpu...

About memory, highest boot from bios to desktop is 1800 6-6-6-18 1T 1.71V

Highest bootable htt from bios to desktop is 352 but with lowest memory divider, so memory runs at 1408mhz

Motherboard sweet spot is up to 320, most stable and memory can run at 1706mhz

    About max cpu-z oc, M3A770DE wins, L3 unlocked in both cases, 4316mhz 322 htt vs 790FXT 4303mhz 321 htt

Super Pi 1M, 4173mhz and 16.344s, Asrock is 52mhz and 0.2s slower than Giga, the reason is memory limit at 1712mhz 6-6-5-15 11 1T, Giga can pull higher, considering the motherboard price difference, very nice job from Asrock

620 chip is stress stable at 3.9ghz with 1.525v with both motherboards, Asrock likes to overvolt, for example 1.500V in bios is 1.536V in cpu-z, 1.525V is 1.568V in cpu-z, I don't like that but bios is rock stable, nice memory tweaking options, ACC core and L3 unlocking with core control, supporting C3 Deneb's out of the box with older bios, motherboard is not "looker" but overall it is nice performer

Here's new beta BIOS 1.40A (compilation date: 20.01.2010). CPU-NB should overclock a bit higher with it.

What a good board!!!Can someone explain me why ASRock boards are so good...it's the only company that lists on their site which boards have ACC and which not, they have a poor design but overclocks and performs excellent(at first sight the biggest lack are solid capacitors, but are they worth it?)...I didn't mention the price!!!I'm going for this one so and not a gigabyte, with DDR2 and wait for a 555...thanks for the review man and thanks!!!

    I forget about this thread...

Asrock is not good for extreme but for casual 24/7 OC on air, why not, it is competition to everyone, not only Biostar and the best thing is reliability, in last three years not a single Asrock mobo returned dead and I can't say that for other manufacturers...

superpyton, thanks, I will try your bios, I'm waiting for X2 555, I will compare it with Giga FXT and MSI GD70... Do you have something special for M3A785GMH/128M?
