Cool Decided to start pushing the FSB on my Q8400.. this is what I got so far

Not too shabby at all IMO. I don't like my bandwidth results one bit. For some reason my memory won't even clock to 1140MHz without a ton of errors, which is bloody annoying. I'll have to play around with timings a lot more and switch DIMM slots, see if that helps. Because of the divider I'm having to use, thats why my PL setting is so rubbish. Once I can iron the kinks out I'll be able to get down to PL 8 or 9, still not fantastic, but acceptable.

Is it prime 95 stable in this setting?

C2D != C2Q!! Getting >500FSB on Quad is far more difficult than getting that on a dualcore!!

I know. I tried and failed.
This is a problem on P45, or just a problem on P5Q series?

It's pretty much that way regardless of motherboard. Even if you disable 2 cores on the quads they won't get anywhere near the FSB of the duals.

I just built a system for a friend for the first time with this CPU. I'm pretty used to overclocking the E8500 so without hesitation on the initial boot I set the clock from 333 to 400. Never had any problems.

So from 1333 FSB to 1600. about 120% I suppose...

His Mobo is an ASUS P5Q3 with 1600 DDR3.

I'll see about 466 as the next jump...
