    Project Silver Liquid (Worklog)

    Hey everyone!

I decided to pimpmod my Coolermaster Cosmos 1000.

    Goals to achieve:
-Hide cables as much as possible
    -Clean looking case
-Silver, (I always had black cases or black interior in previous cases)
-Radiators, pump and reservoir not visible (for a change), only tubing visible.
-The metal panels have to have holes where the tubing can stick through.
    - 2 Tubings directly to the CPU, 2 Tubing directly to the GPU (Clean look)
CPU will have blue UV tubing, GPU will have green UV tubing.
-Case will have new sidepanel with Windows.
-Most important, project has to be CHEAP, as much recycling as possible
-Pump and Res have to go in the 5,25inch bays (tight fit, really tight.
-Fan controller on the top front panel (Plastic panel with USB ports and power button etc)

    I will post pictures laterz!

    Old setup before modding!

    I'm a dirty man!

I ordered some new stuff, not much actually.

Using carton board to see how I should cut the original CM sidepanel

    Recycling recycling

This will be my victim for the panels

I had a hard time bending the panel.

And the result for today's work

    What do you guys think?
I have to bend it a bit more to fit better, but so far I'm impressed how easy this was.

I will mod this little Cooltek 3,5inch fancontroller behind this panel. Probably an exta button for enable/disable UV light as well.

What parts am I'm going to use for this build?
    -Q6600 G0 3.7ghz 1.58v (bad cpu )
    -MSI P35 Neo2-FR
-4gb Buffalo valuecrap (can't even hit 900mhz lol haha)
    -one LG dvd burner
    -WD raptor 74gb
    -Maxtor 200gb

    Watercooling parts:
-XSPC RS360 triplerad ( in top)
-Black Ice GT Stealth 240 (bottom case)
-Bitspower 45 degrees and a 90 degrees stuff
-Masterkleer 1/2 UV tubing, blue and green.
    -Swiftech Apogee GT
    -Dtek Fuzion GFX rev1
    -Swiftech Mcres

It won't be easy to fit the pump and res in the 5,25inch bays in top of the case. I did some testing, and I have to fabricate a bracket to hold the pump and res in place.

The rounded corners are not visible when installed, so thats no problem. I was afraid it would be. Actually I need to have rounded corners, otherwise I can't fit the panel inside the case.

I fitted every watercooling part except the CPU and GPU blocks

Where did I leave the pump and res?

It's a tight fit. I had to cut some metal from the 5.25inch bays away so I can route the tubing from above down to the radiator in the bottom.

And BTW, why does everyone love Bitspower? Garbage I say. I had to grind down the screw wire to make it turn the way I wanted.

Using a non-rotary 45? That will happen with any fitting, not just BP. Get rotaries for more freedom and more money out of your pocket

Build is looking nice I must say, but have you checked that your pump will be getting decent intake?

Yeah well, I didn't know I should have bought the rotary ones. Didn't know there where rotary's. Luckily the sandpaper did a fine job

I leave it as it is. My sister is starting her own company, and I loaned her a few grand. So no money left to spend it on Bitspower crap.

    I hear that, I didn't know about them either....now I have a couple near-useless non-rotary 45's

    We need more pics!

looking much cleaner already! I love the use of the side-panel as the bottom cover, also incorporating the CM logo in the panel

    Thanks.

Still working on the fan controller. New sidepanel with window should arrive somewhere this week.

Cable management is not great, because some cables are not long enough

I must say that this is an awesome mod. It looks stock, which is IMO a great rating

I wouldn't be surprised if CM actually came out with this one day.
