And I thought that My E8600es was impressive !

Today i bought an E8600 box to my favorite Belgian shop www.compumsa.eu ... And this cpu surprised me !!!

And tested it in airccoling (intel rabox) and it prime to 4ghz for only 1.14v

This Cpu is very hot in aircooling , but it screened also to 5ghz for 1.36v core.

After that i decided to test it quicky under my cascade (-100° ^^) with poor insulation because i thought that this cpu cant beat my es one.

But this Cpu boot @ 600*10 for 1.8v and screened to 6.3ghz easy. I have 6355mhz to validate but cpuz website gives error when i try to upload any files.

    CPUZ screen

1M quickly done on my 3d os.

    Edit :

    Cpuz database repaired

1.14v for 4GHZ is insane, thats a real gem.

Whats keeping you at 6300mhz, board, ram, cpu limit?

    Very awesome scores.

lol what i meant was, whats the limiting factor here/

    ie :

    can the board handle more?
    can the ram handle more?
Is the CPU at its limit?
    Are temps funny?

    Holy

That's an impressive cpu, and a great board too. If it has no cold bug, that thing will be a monster under some LN2

    Wonderful chip Pt1t, congrats.
Have not seen anyone go beyond 6.4Ghz though with a Wolfdale or any Core2, just wondering if it's the very max that those chips can do. Hope to see someone do 6.5+Ghz real soon. E8600 just might be the chip that can do it, and you have the right board to achieve it.
