22" Viewsonic Monitor For $135+ shipping on Ebay

There is a Viewsonic 22" monitor for sale on Ebay, currently 21 available that is for $135 + $10 for shipping in the U.S. If you do the Microsoft cashback on it you can get the monitor for $111.25 currently. The discount is currently at 25% and this may change. You can even try using the CJULYFUN0810P code for an additional 10% off, YMMV on that one. Even without the discount it's a great deal. The model is VX2255WMB-2. There is one on Newegg that has great reviews and sells for $249

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824116078

It states a 3ms refresh time, but it is actually 5ms.

    Here is the Ebay link:

Here is the thread with the details on the microsoft cashback rewards:

Sweet deal for a basic 22" monitor.

Guys, I don't like this... Something smells fishy. The price is low, too low. Maybe once this monitor would be sold cheap and that person would get a good deal.... But this guy has TONS of them listed on ebay. Duplicate listings at $250, 175 and 135. Each one has multiple available. That's a lot of monitors for cheap.

He brags about his 100% feedback right off the bat, and the only items he's sold are low end things like GTA4. There is PP Protection up to $200, but I'm not sure if you get that if he doesn't have money in his account. If he does plan on actually shipping all of these monitors, his warranty states "Product must be unopend or refund will be canceled.". Who is going to return a box without opening it? No one... So his 100% money back warranty is worthless.

I love a good deal... But this smells fishy. Anyone else smell it?

I accept the $111.25 risk...Everything on Ebay is a risk of some sort, at least it's not a huge $$$ risk. So far, so good and I'll remain optimistic.

I'll wait to see if anyone get ANYTHING!
Boy that info was old. As am I. Currently my kids have taken over my desktops. They are both sporting matching GTX1080's. Last Christmas I got everyone Oculuses and thus GTX1080's. My eldest is some sort of CSGO champion gold label something or other. Me I work and shoot real guns. Build Comps as needed.

When AMD first came out with a 1GB CPU I got taken on Cnet auctions on a new Gateway with a 22" CRT for $1849. The feds caught him and put him away for 3 years. I don't look to lose money that way but if it happens I move on and forget about it.

I put the thread post in the very first post, click on it and it will explain how to get the Microsoft cashback.

To all the naysayers - sure, it could be a scam or it could be a great deal. I got a Q9450 this past weekend for $170 shipped with the coupon and cash back deal. If it turns out to be bogus, then I can fall back on Paypal protection. The buyer is a verified Paypal account and therefore I have that protection. I know the old adage, if it's too good to be true then it probably isn't, but every now and then there are those deals that are fantastic. I am willing to take the chance, I only posted the info, you have to make the choice on whether or not you want to take the chance. I figure it is refurbed and if it is it will still have a 90 day warranty from Viewsonic which is fine with me.

Anyway, roll the dice or don't, if and when I get mine I will post it letting everyone know. I hope others will too.

So I just checked my messages and the seller responded telling me it was in fact brand new with a full warranty. So, just the fact he is responding is a good sign.

Plz keep us informed with a UPS tracking # or something. If you guys get a real one I'll grab one by the end of July. She has more for sale, but is kinda fishy that some are $135 and others are $175 for the same thing.

What does falling off the back of a truck do to monitors usually? A few dead pixels?

you're serious when you ask this?
please tell me your just jokin around....

here are the cashback rules btw

    http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html

i am curious though do you get 25% off or is it UP TO 25% ??

that other forum link says you can use it 3 times.
the rules say 1 purchase per session.
can anyone confirm that it works more than one time?

per session would imply that you probably should log out after the 1st purchase, go thru the live search again, login, buy another one and see if it works.

i for one cant afford to see if it works, but we know it works at least 1 time from others feedback.

so has anyone tried it more than 1 time ?

I've done it twice. You don't have to log out or anything. Just buy something, wait an hour, then buy another thing. The % cashback is changing all the time. When I did it, it was 35% and then decreased to 5% until it slowly climbed to 20-25%, which is where it's been for the past several weeks. You can only do this 3 times per account, so I wouldn't waste it on a monitor where you only save $30. Buy a laptop, TV, or anything that's $750+.

    so this "pay me" thing.
what do they do, put your money back into your paypal ?

and you have 5 purchased, so are you able to use it at multiple online stores ?

and it says your money back is "available in XX days", not immediately but another month. i saw something in the rules about 30 days to allow for returns but i didnt see they sit on the money for 30 days.

so the cashback is a 30day wait ?
