Major Reasons of Change:
1、Improved DRAM compatibility for OC function.
2、Add DDR2-1066 MCT timing Select.
Remark :This new update BIOS(2008/01/30) comes with some new features such as “DDR Timing Mode”, therefore the existing CMOS Reloaded setting stored on your motherboard cannot apply to this new update BIOS. Users will need to manually set your overclock setting to this update BIOS and save those setting in CMOS Reloaded to work with this new update BIOS.

Hey, Guys the Thread is Under construction as you can see So what I have done is only Posted the Most Recent Bios that work well with Phenom if anyone has any input on that subject please feel free to make suggestions as I have never tried 2/21/08 so if any of you that have been running Phenom for a while and think there is Merit in including other Bios Release both Official and Beta Please do not Hesitate to say so

It's hard to distinguish this new thread from the old one. You are movieman's pimp, let him change the word "Official" into "Dedicated".
By the way, did anyone notice multiplier deviders aren't working on DFI? I tried to run 12.5 multi on NB, but no way the thing booted!
I think I set HEX value correctly. After 0F you continue with 10, 11~1F etc right?
Anyway, Im still in testing progress. But my chip seems to hate high Mhz but loves low Volts lol. And NB ran 2.4Ghz stock Vnb 7 hour AOD stability test without issues.
System is already testing for 1.5 hours AOD stability test.
2.7Ghz with CPU-Z reporting 1.248Vcore, AOD says 1.2375Vcore. 2.4Ghz NB at stock Vnb. Load is like 34C. Ill keep on going like this for a while. I still hope for a better OC's although Ive to be honest such a cool running Phenom is just awesome.
I just did some re-reading things and Ill try at some point HT multi at 7 and check HTref out again. Apparently dropping HT multi might push HTT OC's, but no multi OC'ing or something.
this thread is awesome. i got my dfi790fx m2rs board coming. i can't wait to play with it. anyone here running 8gigs of memory with this board? just wondering if it has issue with running max memory. i hope more people will contribute to this thread. thanks again brother.
Lowest voltages for 2.8Ghz/2.0Ghz
CPU-VID: 1,3125V (Bios) 1,351V (DMM)
NB-VID: 1,15V (Bios) 1,144V (DMM)
CPU-TEMP: 63°C coredamage, 60°C max prime95
Prime Time: 22hrs
Lowest voltages for 2.8Ghz/2.2Ghz
CPU-VID: 1,3125V (Bios) 1,354V (DMM)
NB-VID: 1,25V (Bios) ? (DMM)
CPU-TEMP: 63°-64°C coredamage, 62°C max prime95
Prime Time: 12hrs
I use the following procedure for stability testing.
1. Sandra Memory Latency (that triggers a freeze here very quickly)
2. CoreDamage for a few minutes to see what temps i will get
3. Prime95 together with 3dmark06, to generate a very high power consumption
4. Prime95 longtest
5. Application testing (Surfing, Openoffice, Antivir) for a while.
Lowest voltages for 2.8Ghz/2.4Ghz
1.3125V: passed 1, power off at coredamage
1.325V: passed 1, power off at coredamage
1.35V: passed 1 and 2, failed prime95 immediate
1.3625V: passed 1 and 2, failed prime95 after 3mins
1.3875V: passed 1 and 2,3 power off during prime run after ~30mins.
1.4V: passed 1 and 2,3 failed prime95 after 48mins
1.4125V: passed 1 and 2,3 failed prime95 after 4:50hrs
1.425V: passed 1 and 2,3 failed prime95 after 5:30hrs
Trying with 1.35V CPU-VID
1.35V: prime failed immediate
1.375V: prime failed immediate
Back to 1.3125V CPU-VID
1.4325V: passed 1 and 2,3 failed prime95 after ~9hrs
With this high NB voltage I get temps up to 66°C (cpu). All those latest tests failed on the second core. This core is not a weak one, on the M3A I could run 3GHz on that core with ~1.35V. If I use too low CPU-VID prime95 normaly fails on the weaker cores 3 and 4. I suspect core 2 does not like high temperatures.
Trying with 1.325V CPU-VID
1.4325V: passed 1 and 2,3 failed prime95 after ~13hrs

Your NB works alot better than mine here. I played with the NB-DID while i was tweaking p-states. Anything beside 1 as a divider did not work here also.

I reached around 270MHz ref HT wise but with not so high CPU multis (~11). With higher multis I can use up to 260MHz.
My 9600BE topped out at around 285MHz.
Looks like Phenom differs a lot regarding Voltage requirements and Mhz yield.
Also I think BIOS's are still NOT optimized completely to get the best out of Phenom. For example, Tony's Phenom article over at TTR. 790FX-DQ6 did very nice with HTT, but DFI didnt.
HTT has, as far as Im aware, nothing to do with the CPU. So I really think this is a BIOS problem. At least, I hope. Otherwise the board wouldnt be able to handle it. But that's not making a lot of sense since I could hit minimal 290Mhz with a X2 plugged in. But tbh, I didnt do a lot of testing with HTT clocking though. But whether HTT clocking can be fixed by BIOS or not, if we look at DDR1066 mode OCíng it's still very clear BIOS's need some fine tuning.
So lets hope for a better BIOS soon shall we.
Also, I was wondering since people talk about 'Red mode' etc in AOD... It seems it enables some sort of faster CF mode or so, is this possible to set by BIOS too?
After 4 hours of AOD stability test I quit it. 1.248Vcore by CPU-Z seems stable!
Testing 1.21Vcore by CPU-Z now. If that's stable Im at one side very pleased and on the other side pissed as . I mean, I prefer running 1.3V and hitting 2.8Ghz~2.9Ghz over 1.21V or even lower and only 2.7Ghz anytime. On the otherhand, maybe heat was an issue after all and now I know it does such low Volts it might do better.
