    WoW. Does your board have 2 native 16x PCIe lanes?

    When I purchased my board (Foxconn Mars) from newegg in specification section it showed PCI Express x16 2 so I thought I'm future proof. But then learned it is 16x and 4x.... Would you recommend having two of those babies for my board?

    you take a pretty good hit going to x4 bus. I would recommend you grab the new x48 from foxconn when it ships (soon). I have the DFI x-38 and also the p-35 both boards are basically identical except the x-38 has 2 x16 and 1 x4 pci-e slots (Gen 2.0 to boot) and with the X-38 @ 4500 MHZ I get better scores on 05 than with 4900 MHZ on the p-35

    awesome scores, like I posted in other threads I can get the option for crossfire but it is greyed out for me? I have diagnostics and configuration tabs but they are also greyed out? I installed as the 3450 and 3470 neither acted differently. GPU-z shows crossfire enabled (2GpUs) but shows clocks etc on the second card. riva shows no jump in clockspeed and 0.0 usage on second card also. same drivers as you.

    Wow...all on Vista...INCREDIBLE!

    I hope to see scores improve even more when as the drivers mature.

    are these at stock?
    congratulations for running 2 $450.00 video cards at stock speed.

    just joking

    seriously. I haven't tried to oc 2x x2's but I'm sure its the same method except it will show 4 in AMD GPU clocktool, see on device -

    BN:3, DN:0 = GPU1
    and BN:4, DN:0 = GPU2
    BN5 GPU3
    BN6 =GPU4? etc.

    try it.

    1. If you want to run fan at 100% download and install riva tuner 2.06 and do the following:

    x:\Program Files\Rivatuner 2.06\rivatuner.cfg

    Comparing files rivatuner_2.06.cfg and RIVATUNER_2.06_8800GTS_G92_3870X2_RV670.CFG

    ***** rivatuner_2.06.cfg
    G86 = 420h-42Fh
    G92 = 610h-61Fh

    ***** RIVATUNER_2.06_8800GTS_G92_3870X2_RV670.CFG
    G86 = 420h-42Fh
    G92 = 600h-60Fh,610h-61Fh

    *****

    ***** rivatuner_2.06.cfg
    RV630 = 9588h-9589h
    RV670 = 9500h-9501h,9505h,9507h

    ***** RIVATUNER_2.06_8800GTS_G92_3870X2_RV670.CFG
    RV630 = 9588h-9589h
    RV670 = 9500h-9501h,9505h,9507h,950Fh

    *****
    edit your rivatuner.cfg so it looks like the bottom entry, the important line is the rv670 one for you. Open notepad as Run as Administrator, open the rivatuner.cfg in x:\Program Files\Rivatuner 2.06, edit the RV670 line so it looks like this:
    RV670 = 9500h-9501h,9505h,9507h,950Fh

    save it close and restart riva tuner

    2. Download amd gpu clock tool here: http://www.nordichardware.com/skrive...kTool_v0.7.zip

    You will need to apply this patch to the root in AMD gpu tool before running the program. here: http://www.nordichardware.com/skrive...16/ToolLib.zip

    2. run AMD GPU clocktool, see on device - BN:3, DN:0 = GPU1 and BN:4, DN:0 = GPU2... BN:3, DN:0 = GPU1

    BN:3, DN:0 = GPU1 will show default clocks(825/900)

    3. select Bn4 core and type in your gpu and mem clocks and hit apply. then select the second Bn3 and do the same.

    Check your clocks by opening the thermal sensor tab and hit start. it will show current clocks for both gpu's and mem

    4. next try to max out each core ad mem by overclocking one slighty higher than the other core and running a benchmark like 3dmark 2006. if it fails then you will know which each core maxes out so you can get the optimal performance from the card. Do the same for the memory.

    Oh why didn't you mention that in the 1st post?
    sorry. I didn't see the gpu clocks. and not everyone knows how to o.c 3870x2 just trying to help in case you didn't know.

    btw, were you able to clock any higher on other cores? or they are all 900/1120?

    example:
    my gpu0 maxes at 958.5 / 1143
    gpu1 945/1143

    For now, first tests, i only try 900/1120 for all cores. I have to repair my cascade to test again at maximum clocks for cpu and gpu's. for now it's good enough to play every games at 1920X1200 and increase my hwbot profile.

    I have not really looked, I have not had much time to really mess with them much yet. I will be messing with them this weekend though...

    COD4 has a default fps cap at 91 (or is it 85?). To watch your babies fly type this into concole /com_maxfps 333

    This is not a hack or any BS. Just a setting, some servers have their own setting limit to 250 or what ever they choose so you may have to turn it dowm a little.

    With 1 3870x2 I get up to 333 but often around the 200-250 mark.

    I only have a 19" screen so expect great things.
