    HR 03 GT just arrived

Fed X, 820 PM, man the driver looked tired, been raining all day. Will update with final #'s when done, I won't be lapping it, I'm outta vodka.

    It's pretty, all shiny!!!

    First update

Idle dropped from 54c to 38c. It's huge! Had to take my SLI HR05 off (back to an old heatsink) to make room for it, but a 25mm fan on the SB and the HR03 GT might fit. Had to take my NB HR05 fan off due to the fittings on the back of the card to hold the HR03 GT.

Sorry, been busy. I'm running ATI tool, scan for artifacts now.
    Ambient house: 20C
    8800 GT 701/1752/950 Evga
    315 avg FPS 1280x1024
120mm fan on low rpm, fixed speed
    Idle: 38C
    Load at 3 min 44C, 4 min 45C, 6 min 45C
    E6600 3.2
Antec 900 120 mm fans on low, 200 mm fan on med

Had pics to post, but my FTP isn't acting right.

What do you folks use to stress your vid card for temps? I haven't taken the time to look around for the standard proggy.

And umm, silly question. I run Core Temp 0.95.4, E6600 at 3.2, B2 stepping. My core temp is at 30 idle (well with ATI scan arti on). Do I need to add 15C to it?

failing that there's always the option of visiting a 3rd world country, convince a local that he has 2 livers and pay him peanuts for it! by the time they become all jondus i'll be on a plane home to the miserable UK weather ... and more vodka

The permissions on those pictures are asking me for a user and pass.

What I need to know about the HR-03 GT is how much room below the video card I will have for a sound card.

As long as your HR03 GT goes to the top you'll be okay. Then you have no room for any stick up type NB cooling. It might fit with the HR03 facing down and a 25mm fan. Each board spacing is a bit diff. The TR page has measurements you can use.

My VF900 had "just a bit of warp" when installed on my 7800GT. I'm curious what the 8800GT looks like without that chop stick.
