Wink Here it is: Asus P5K-SE Vdroop Mod

Hello all!

Im glad to announce that i developed a fix for the Vdroop on P5K-SE motherboard. I´m an electrical engineer and i work with electronic design. In the past few days i have analysed the VRM of P5K-SE, and i understood how the PWM controler works and how we can adjust the Vdroop. The image attached shows everything. There is another image attached, where you can see how i did the mod on my motherboard.

With the pencil trick, people are getting just average results (max 50% Vdroop reducement), because the original Rfb resistor is "low" (3,6K). If you want more (like me ) you will need to solder a fixed or a variable resistor.

Thank you all, and enjoy this fix!

Felipe.

I tried it with a pencil, it still droops on load (1.408v down to 1.38v) I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or the pencil I'm using just not soft enough.

But thanks anyway.
