qx9650 brief test

1.42v 4.5G 1m on air with a 10$ cooler.

1.65v 5.4G 1m , -120c, still a lot space to go, have to mod the mobo or too much vdroop and insuficienty vcore.

Thanks for sharing. I am thinking QX9650 and X48 myself. Hope X48 doesn't follow too far behind the CPU.

Very nice results Victor. Do you know when will the x48 chipset be available? Also we always see QX9650 results and it's been very promising even on air. How about the below models like Q9450, 9300 e.t.c.?

It so tempting to jump on this chip come Nov. 12 since it will be likely more than 2 months before any other Yorkfield chip hits retail. Yes, Nov. 12 has the potential to be a very expensive day for some of us.

I wonder whether the average retail chip will be anywhere near this? You never know these days with the ES's. Some are better and some not as good as the retails.
