Well this is most likely due to the r600 releasing no doubt. Just goes to show amd stocks fell below what actual value was believed to be.

    Long live competition.

That and Fidelity buy a big chunk of AMD stock didn't hurt them either.

I seriously don't know why we talk about stocks on XS unless the company is going bankrupt. And do we really need a thread dedicated when AMD goes up by 5% or goes down by 5%?

Do we really need news threads that can be responded to? A locked thread after the news link is good enough.

The universe will go on, indifferent to our brief existence, but while we are here we touch not just part of that vastness, but also the lives around us. Life is the gift each of us has been given. Each life is our own and no one else's. It is precious beyond all counting. It is the greatest value we have. Cherish it for what it truly is."

    Congrats on that!!

Yea, This is one of the times that I wonder why I didnt buy AMD shares. Same feeling applies to Somerfield and Marconi share prices in the past, I could not have to worry about a mortgage if i`d played my cards right...or at all.

I wish I had money to invest, I would have jumped on there when they were lower to benefit from this rise. Sucks being a broke college kid sometimes.

thats the page you need to be paying attention to.

    Current Estimate -2.50 this year
    -0.86 next year

worse than last weeks estimates. this last weeks news has lead analyst to believe this years will be 5% worse than they thought last week. Cute how its pretty close to the nonissue 5% you got excited about. Lot of you guys probably dont care that the fundamentals have steadily gotten worse, not better. Oh well.
