We won't really know the answer to that question until the retail/oem chips hit the market. The ES's are usually always super high-binned chips that don't represent the performance you can expect from a production chip.

You and me both. I'd love to get my hands on a e6600 ES or above. I can't wait until this cpu comes out. I've had my eye on this one for a while.

with a Q6600 for USD 266 i dont think there is much room for Q6400 (you will still be able to buy it as a server chip)

yes, but the 266 USD for a Q6600 is awsome, I dont think that will be able in 1 month

So, some new results after polish, and w/ Scythe Infinity

    3Dmark06 @3.2GHz 1.30v + Asus 8800GTS 320 (still no vmod)

    some orthos @ 4 core's 3.2GHz 1.30v

some Winrar (Its extreme fast and only P965 & 800 CL4)

    Cinebench XCPU

    Everest CPU Queen

    Everest CPU Photoworxx

    Everest CPU ZLib

What do you mean by super high-binned? If the fact that they are expected to oc well then that is not quite right. Very first ES conroes were not only slower clock per clock but also overclocked very poor in comparison to retail chips.
