    E6700 + LN2 by BreakTheLimits! Team

    Hi!

    SETUP:
P5B dlx 1004 bios (full mod) NB Ln2 cooled
    2x1GB Cellshock 1000C4
    E6700 L628 Ln2 cooled
    Tagan U15 530W
    S3 Virge

SQUAD: Gemmy and me = BreakTheLimits! Team

Maybe some of you remeber this old topic, where I showed some results of high FSB with 1066 strap on P5B dlx, now at last we got some decent CPU - E6700 L628. Today we tired it on LN2. To our suprise we couldnt get as low with temperature on NB as during previous benches with 6600, it turns out that NB <--> container contact wasn't good last time.

But enough of words, let the screens talk:

All the results using 1066 strap (booted@400 and clocked all the way up).

    32M

    16M

    Hexus PiFast

    Validation

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=183211

We also did some 1M, it was sub10, but wasn't good enough to publish (hope we will improve it soon)

    [UPDATE] - 4th April
    added some 1m:

    [UPDATE] - 27th May
At last some results with QuadGT.

    Setup:
Abit QuadGT (vmch modded) MCH@1.85V DMM
    still same E6700 @ 1.875V bios
    CellShock 2x1GB 1000C4 @ 2.8V

    NB watercooled, CPU @ Ln2

    Results:
    SuperPi 1M = 9.547s, CPU@ 5320MHz

    SuperPi 8M = 2:00.890, CPU@ 5300MHz

    SuperPi 16M = 4:26.031, CPU@ 5290MHz

    SuperPi 32M = 9:40.516, CPU@ 5250MHz

    Hexus PiFast = 18.42s, CPU@ 5270MHz

    VMCH = 1.97
With 6600 and 9x we could do 53x, today our CPU topped before the mobo, we never had time to check the max FSB on 1066 strap with lower multis than default

Great result man, specially 32m test.
Try higher voltage, 1.8v is too little . What's temp of nb, I read somewhere on the forum that nb have some kind of cb below -10C.

    thx!

CPU doesn't scale on higher voltages (we put 1.9 and there was no gain in MHz), I can't say about accurate NB temp cause our NB termometer was a really bad quality

    Very nice

Did you notice how much FSB did you gain by LN2 cooling NB?

Now I regret I didn't read the QuadGT thread

We will try this CPU on higher volts in the near future! thx for advice!

How much did you gain by disabling one core?

We tested only with 1066 strap. About 510 on water with ice, up to 530 with Ln2 so far.

    Nice results! As usually...

I will try the Abit QuadGT myself. The board feels ok so far but I wish there was a little better BIOS: More stable, subtimings for the RAMs and maybe OC-profiles.
