After a couple more real world results I am sure we will all have our answer as to which heatsink is better. I really wanted the IFX to be better after hearing about the horrible mounting of the Ultra Extreme but the over hyping of products seems to be the norm as of now. I too am anxiously awaiting pics however.

I dont want to draw out methods for people reviewing the IFX... but do everyone a favor...
Lap the IFX and the one you're comparing to the same process... Use the same fans at the same speeds... and whatever you do, please find the best application of the TIM. Meaning, go though several rounds of applications on each HS and then dont start testing till you get back to the best temp you saw...

I've been told 6-8 weeks for the IFX-14 and HR-01 Plus to become available in UK, anyone else been told otherwise? I've only received 1 response by CC&C etailer.

Yeah it is bending quite heavily, probably due to the cooler being tied down all the way while the motherboard isn't tied down in a case. Have had that problem a number of times before putting stuff in a case.

Lol. Not really. It's just that I'm using wide angle lens n causes the pics to look a bit curved on the straight edges.

Look at the edge of the white table, it's curved; ie., wide angle lens.

Yeah, That's how wide angle shots look. The Monitor, table, Board, Slots.
Also, Note the vertical distortion, On the left side of the Motherboard.
My guess is it's a 1.4 / 1.5 Lens.

The backplate sink looks entirely worthless and it appears to make it more of a pain in the ass to actually mount in a case. Still boggles my mind that this thing is no better then a TRUE with the size of it.

No, this thing was meant to be run with an undervolted San Ace. The spacing is just perfect for a 38mm.
Or any powerful 38mm fan in the middle.
Or a heavyweight 140mm 38mm delta.
This thing was made for huge fans .. put huge fans in there >>
