what about those 2GB sticks, what's their case, for Micron ICs?
EDIT: what about those highly binned sticks that are rated to run at 2.35V like Corsair or OCZ, those are D9?
Yes, the high end FleXLC and Dominator sticks from OCZ and Corsair use D9. Just because they rate them to 2.35-2.4v, does not mean they are any more tolerant to those voltages than the rest of the D9 sticks out there, they just mean that they are willing to warranty it for the few that buy them.

that is a good point, just another part of my question:
what about those 2GB sticks, what's their max V, for Micron ICs?
    thnx for your help

I'd say about the same, but remember with the 2GB sticks, heat will become more of an issue than it is with 1GB sticks, so you'll want to pay more attention to keeping them cool.

aha, I have the OCZ mem cooler over them, and enough flow through the case...

Speaking of voltages, i had a pair of Supertalent D9's @ 2.4v for 8 months 24/7 without a single prob nor a degrade in achieved oc's.

It depends on how long u want to keep them.

guess it depends on the luck of the draw, this is the second Cellshock kit I have, and it's very V sensitive...

your already at 1150 according to your sig.
cas5 wise the 8000 wont give you a boost, but they clock well with cas4.
the perf gain will be small tho... or do you want to add another 2gb to your set to upgrade to 4gb?

Thought I give my 2 cents...

    MemTest 3.8 stable after 100%

As you can see a lower CL of 4 does not necessarily provide better performance.

The crucial memory timing is tRD or Performance Level as it appears on the ASUS motherboards. Get it below 8 and you'll exceed 10GB/s.

I'm still running the E8400 at stock speed. I'll post results at 3.5GHz and (hopefully) at 4GHz.

    Nice!

And at a low voltage too. I'll try your settings and post back.

Here is what I had before your settings:

    (HyperPi:32M stable, 2.18v)

As you can see, my Write and Copy values are actually higher than yours but your Read is way higher.
However, I suspect that this is due to the higher CPU frequency; tRAS doesn't affect performance.

i tried your settings of 5-5-5-15-25 and got this.
are you using XP,cause im on vista.i know when on vista
you get lower copy scores w/32bit than 64bit.and
if memory serves me correctly XP gets better scores than vista.

    and heres 8x500 ddr1200 5-5-5-15-25 pl8

    8x500 ddr1200 5-5-4-10-25 pl8

    8x500 ddr1200 5-5-5-15-42 pl8

    8.5x530 ddr1272 5-5-5-15-42 pl8

    8.5x530 ddr1272 5-5-5-15-25 pl8

Yes, I am on XP. Is that why you're getting a better READ score at the same frequency?

I see you hit a new high with the extra low tRFC, well done!

I also see 8x500 ddr1200 5-5-4-10-25 pl8 settings allow you to raise your copy score. Nice, I'll implement that as well.

Is that E8400 E0 and is it stable at 1.216?
How much vDimm to get the RAM at 636?

    Faiakes,thanks for tRD recommendations article.
    vdimm was at 2.18v
yes this is a great cpu,i can run it at 1.18v for9x445@4GHz .its vid is 1.237,thats what i had it at for that 8x500 run.

and it will do 4123 at stock vcore 1.237 bios/1.21 load

    and 8x500@4000 w 1.20v ddr1200 w/2.10v

Fantastic numbers! It is an awesome CPU indeed

I will try your voltage specs, too.
In the mean time, I figured out that if I switch to the 266 strap I can get higher clock options for the Cellshock....

I will try to tighten things up later. The RAM should require less than 2.3v.
First I want to see how high I can push it within 2.3v or below. What is your experience?

heres an example of the difference between 32bit vista and 64bit vista.
first is 32 bit, notice the copy score

    and 64 bit

Welcome to the +10GB/s club WaterFlex

Still testing this brilliant Cellshock. I'm tempted to buy another 2GB (for £50!).
Don't know if i'd see any benefit though (for gaming).

radaja man, I'll test for lowest cCore first and then see how much I can stretch the CellShock.
Vista is simply appauling. I hope you didn't pay for it. Myself I'll go straight to Win7 after I read a few good reviews, once it's out.

Can confirm that my Cellshock too, will only go as low as v2.14 at 600 MHz (HyperPi@32M stable).

Which is not bad, not bad at all
