    Project Mercury By Snakez

It's time for a new mod , this time with the help of some sponsors.
    And all by myself.
This time a Coolermaster Stacker 830.
It's the only Nvidia SLI certified case there is.

    Plans:

I want to chrome the whole case , with some black and uvplexi accents.
The lightning will be done by leds.
Watch the topic and you will see....

And here is the victim :P

It's a little dirty , but it was in Coolermasters stand on the Hardwareinfo days , so everybody needed to touch it

Let's start taking the case apart.

    And then this is left

Looks like a bunch of old iron:P
    And now the work starts.:P

    Question!

How did you take it apart?

I'm trying to take mine apart, but some of them seem to be
riveted on to other parts... What tools do I need to take em apart
    like you, Snakez sir, did?

I'm trying to repaint and mod mine too
Just don't know how and what to use to take apart the case...

My guess is he drilled the rivets out. I don't see any other way to remove them.

Just take a dremel and drill them all out:P I did and am still doing.
For the deanodizing the rivets have to go out , all of them

i did that yesterday.. the chassis has some sharp edges, cutt my hand on it

Not much left when it is disasembled, just a pile of aluminium Have to polish some parts because of scratches.. anodizing doesnt cover them

Will you have WC in your case? Where will you have the case anodized? I found a company that does it for 60 euro ex VAT. Color that is, just anodizing is cheaper

I found a company where i can use their equipment to deanodize it myself.
So the costs for that is not so high.
Chroming the entire case is very expensive , but will see.
Yes ofcourse i will use a wc setup, check EKwaterblocks

Before deanodizing and chroming it was very important that the case was clear of rivets and stuff , they all needed to go out , what a job But done.

This are the parts that stay black , or at least don't get chromed.

And this all will be chromed , a bunch of parts.

This way fitts much better in the box :P

    Next step , deanodizing .
