i have not yet eVGA's video card for a long while
XFX yayayayaaaaa
anyways..... GTO... half price of GTX but user can easy flash to GTX's bios and run as it.....but remember, those are the recalled card from GTX becasue the ram is not wroking with GDDR3 1600 stable
box of eVGA 7900GTO
black sticker and i think it is ugly XD
rare view.... looks exactly like a 7900GTX but....there is one thing different
open it...!!!

One item to consider, the memory timings. Looks like they have tightened things up versus the GTX. The card runs faster with the original BIOS versus using a GTX BIOS. Just mod the stock BIOS if you want to tweak.
timing-----------GTX-------GTO-------BJ11 ------ BC14
tRAS------------24-----------22----------25-----------22
tRC-------------34-----------31----------35-----------31
tRFC------------43-----------39----------45-----------39
tRCDR----------12-----------10----------12-----------10
tRCDW---------8-------------6------------8------------6
tRP------------10-------------9-----------10-----------9
tRRD-----------8------------10------------8-----------8
So, looks like 1.1 ns Samsung GDDR3 may be on there, but, since it only has the 1.4 ns spec voltage(1.7 min, 1.8 spec, 1.9 max) versus the 1.1 ns voltage(1.9 min, 2.0 spec, 2.1 max), the timings have been adjusted accordingly to 1.4 ns just like the GT cards.

The cards were physically reworked. So, there is no BIOS fix for the memory voltage.

I just got two of these and I have a couple of questions. What driver are you using? I dont want to use the one you say only for testing. But mine stops at 800 for the memory how are you getting 835? I used coolbits to adjust mine what did you use? I have the p5w-dh deluxe so I have to use modded drivers I am using the 85.96. Thanks.

how are you possibly running these cards at those clocks? It falls to pieces when I get even close to that. Completely artifacted. If thats even a word. I doubt these clocks. or if its only for a score on a benchmark and not even possible to run at this speed normally then who cares. Cant be good for the card.

@afireinside
not for 24/7 becasue memory timing and speed
later today johnny will have some mod out. i already saw it and that seems good
with that, my bios should work perfect
@tommyshango
becasue you need to remove the delta clock
driver doesn't make overclock different
bios does!
big sam dirver is for the SLi

Damn is that 850MHz with 1.9v?, mem clocked well on stock bios in your case despite the 1.9v if that's correct. I wish mine also does similiarly but I don't have that much luck usually.
Tighter timings wasn't expected but does make some sense tho.
I won't flash my MSI 7900GTO to GTX bios personally if this is true that they just can't handle more voltage without possible failure as this card needs to stay with me for several months. But reading this thread it appears the voltage doesn't change and only the timings and that would cause the higher o/c results in some cases or is this 1.9v limit despite bios flash only limited to eVGA for example or does it also include MSI cards hmm..
I have to ask what you think about it, does this mean Nvidia were overvolting their own products and that caused problems for some well pretty many 7900GTX owners in fact, whetever it was stock or overclocked speeds, seems like these memory chips doesn't live healthy with more than 1.9v and hence they release these older GTX cards with prolly an older type of memory (I think they've fixed the prob with the newer 7900GTX) as a 7900GTO with another BIOS that reduces memclock speed from 1600 -> 1320MHz and memvoltage 2.1v -> 1.9v and also with tighter timings on the mem, which means faster speed at same clock than a GTX. Guess these cards would have been dumped otherwise and they decided to not do that and do a further investigate (well they probably knew the prob ) which lead to the 7900GTO. I'm suprised so many reaches above 800MHz (1600MHz effective) speeds on these cards tho despite the tighter timings and lower voltage, I hope I'm one of the lucky ones as well...

Please post your memclock result later with stock bios if possible, I'm really interesting where the average memclock lands at for these cards with stock bios.

I got like 700 and 700 roughly but that was just a really rough estimate I have only played with them a few hours so far. Thats using the sli hacked driver cuz im on the p5wdh deluxe. I was artifacting at higher speeds and a few blue screens I will see what I can get.
