X6800 ES at 4,5 GHz - ON WATERCOOLING! New water WR?

Hello ppl,

Because i'm still waiting for my new custom phase, i started playing today with the X6800 on watercooling. I used water out of the water tap (9 °C) Temps are about 28 °C idle at Windows...

BOARD: Asus P5W DH 119xxx (still unmodded ;D)
CPU: X6800 Step5/B1
RAM: 2 * 512MB G.Skill HZ 1000
VGA: Sapphire 1900XTX stock
PSU: Tagan 1,1 kW

COOLING: Alphacool XP light (POM cover)
OS: 2003

VCORE 1,7 V
VMCH 1,65 V

CPU

System (between shower and toilet )

Max Screen with ratio 11(1,675 Vcore)

Max Pi Score until now (i'm testing right now with 1,7 V and tighter ramsettings)

And... finally 4,5 validated with ratio 10
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=117527

Should be WR at watercooling, shouldn't it?

Time for some ... or i'll go benching some PI

... and, yes, i DO need some vmods... i'll buy some vr's at monday...

Jeez, ignore the water for a sec and look at that clock speed. 4.5GHz is amazing.

No, i ran with 105... Thanks for the hint, i'll try it 2morrow...

Another fact: Windows booting with just one core enabled didn't achieve any MHz+...

thats probably the most ghetto cooling ive seen, but thats a serious waste of water, unless u recirculate all water by purifier and two filters...

Dont be angry with me :P I'm living right upon a mountain at the black forest (if you know that part of southern germany)... we don't have a canalization, BUT we have a own well-spring (or is it called just "source"?) and a purification plant... so...

the water i dont use runs down the hill - no joke, you can see that little stream running down from where the wellspring is located

And, c'mon, what would you - if you had a waterblock and that CPU, but no rad? - Right, the same...

i actually use well-water too, but mine isnt really "dirty"
it goes through 2 purifiers and 2 filters before it gets to my house... i have a awesome filtration system

sure do , thats where my great great grandfather came from back in the late 1800's when they imigrated to the USA.

reminds me of something i would of done back on the farm where i grew up.
well water and a natural spring a few miles down the road.
gotta love that natural spring water.. lots of iron and ice cold lol.

With -23 °C Core Temp, the CPU booted with 4,8 into Windows (-23°C at Windows) and overclocked there easily to 5,1 GHz (DICE Cooling, but first try with new container, bad contact and only large DICE pieces... reached much lower temps at the secon run... but thermal diode was jammed under -28°C...)

So... Only Sinlge Stage temps to reach 5 GHz, not even cascade for 4,6 GHz...
