Huh?
Huh?
Do you see anyway that MSI could not have known about these problems?
12v+ reads just a wee bit high.
Your right on one thing pcdoc, this board will wear you out trying to set a clock.

Yea, I put it on the self... It'll make great board to run a celery or someting, maybe worth more for parts...Originally Posted by dogsx2
So what are the biggest issues with this?
Can I run an e6600 on this without overclocking without issues?
Right now I'm happy that I can just oc by the bios.Originally Posted by pcdoc1
Two DS3 boards would not let me set even 267 in the bios and post.
This board has a lot of bios work just to be good.

What makes you think they will add it? I've had a few MSI boards and they are very slow at bios updates.Originally Posted by cupholder2.0

Does anybody have any suggestions for other boards. Looks as we all have to live with the lesser of evils as early adopters of Core 2
god all this is terrible, obviously oc'in with this thing is outa the question without problems right now, so can someone tell me will it run fine without any OC at all? Im even talking about readings in the bios, i saw someone mention that sometimes it wont show the correct info like fsb or something, wrong 12v rails, etc...
im still waiting on my conroe with this crap sittin beside me for the last week, just wanna know if I should be going for a next board already.....can deal with no oc till a bios update but cant deal with a ton of issues at everything on stock.

I'm a member @ MSI's Global Site because I registered my Neo4 Plat there, and I have contacted them with this letter...
Dear MSI,
The whole enthusiest and overclocking community at many online forums such as XtremeSystems.org are eagerly awaiting a new BIOS for this board, as they believe as do I that this motherboard has some serious potential, but overclocking is severely limited at the moment because of a very buggy BIOS. Could you shed some light on the situation? Are new, better BIOS' in development? Thank you,
Nick
I'll post back any responces.
I posted this in another thread too btw.

Yeah, I saw that Nick. Thanks
But I doubt one letter will do the trick. Even if we just copy and paste Nick's email and send it again and again and again, it might get through to MSI that they need to get on the ball.
And Nick, would you mind sharing what email address you sent that to?
It's not an email address but a submit form like Giga-Bytes support. You can go here. http://support.msi.com.tw/index.php
There is also a thread going @ tehir forum.

But sadly, not much attention.

just submited a form and droped a line in the forum, everyone in this thread should do the same.

BTW I emailed MSI as well, begging them for a bios update. I think you guys should also email/call them.

I'm really concerned about this, it seems like such a nice board with such a poor bios.....

I would sure like to measure some voltage if anyone one knows where the points are. I'm almost sure that it's just being misread.
A BETA bios is available at the end of this thread (need to PM the moderator)
