i thought boards are sopposed to go over 400 fsb. and btw what volts are you using on that chip ,type of cooling temps? .i might get the 6400's

I'm satisfied with these results and that chip though I have some issues with usb devices .

Would be nice to break fsb wall , have to see what's wrong

My rig is very stable at 3.00 ghz and it was my goal

this bios ( 0065 ) allows 450fsb ,maybe should I relax G skill timings

Vcore is 1.4 V and temp 35Â° idle with my Noctua NH U12

Have to find some extra fan for NB ( 46Â° mb temp idle ) as FCG told me

VMCH is 1.65V
Vdimm is 2.1V

The case is a gigabyte 3d aurora with antec smartpower 2.0 500 Watts and my XFX 7900 GT is modded@1.5V (520/1500@660/1700 stable 45Â° load with VF900 Zalman - 700/1700 cause issues under 3Dmark 06

Webwilli said what happen when you set a higher fsb?

Can't boot to windows , I only have the loading screen and after system freeze and reboots

By the way Webwilli , are you able to lower multi with your bios ? Mine is locked to x 8 ,that's my big pb cos I'd have tried to go with x7 and a higher fsb

Yes ,nice chip ! see also Webwilli results with his 6300 ..

I booted to windows at 3.2 ghz ( 8x400 fsb ) with Vcore 1.5V but got issues with benchs

Really need to have more cooling on Nb ?

Have you disabled Hyper-Transport, and hten tried raising the FSB?

Can you drop the Multi's and see if the cpu boots at a Higher FSB?

Assume you mean hyper threading? Which conroes don't have anyways and you can only drop multi's on the x6800 chips so far as i know. Sadly intel haven't followed AMD's good idea to allow anyone to drop multipliers as much as they want

FCG 'advice is to change bios and try 0502 - Does anybody know if it solves that pb ?

What do you mean by HTT ? I used to care about that with AMD rig ...

Yes it is with 4Mo L2 but my multi is locked at x 8

very nice that you can actually hit 3 with this, what kind of cooling did you use? only thing i didnt like is hw it gets pwned by the 6600 although its still a great dual core

Air cooling with Noctua NH U12 which fits fine , but you only have one way to do that on that board because of the height of the chipset
