here's the setting on gigabyte boards with or without LLC

BIOS setting 1.4V w/ Load Line Calibration

the only reason i bought these is because they are rated cas 4 at 900. anyhow it does 900 or even 920 but on B mode. Right now i am trying to search around to find the difference between 2.00 B vs 2.00 D

Alright! Now I am happy! I enabled LLC and made some other changes in the BIOS and got some great results. I did have to raise the Core voltage to 1.41v to hit this FSB but that is nowhere near what I have had this CPU up to in the past.

I used the settings bellow , i am blend prime stable for 5hours and then it errors.

I need your advices on how to finetune the settings e.g. adjusting voltages or gtl for getting stable without the need of increasing vcore.

@ ledge, your pll voltage is way to high. you should be able to drop that to 1.57 or lower.

I had it set to AUTO. What is the max I should have the PLL and CPU termination voltages set to?

If I set the PLL lower then 1.6900 I get stability issues?

depends on what your comfortable with. i think most try to stay below 1.60.also if you keep things cool (good airflow) you should be ok w/1.69 i think. im probally not the best person to be asking cause i dont like to go to high on any of the voltages.right now im using pll1.57 and im trying to lower it to 1.5(not comfortable with 1.57)and vtt not really sure but i keep mine below 1.4.but still not 100% sure . please feel free to correct me if wrong.

Yes, please elaborate on why keeping the voltages rock solid is not good for 45nm CPU's???????????

Sadly, I am not able to boot into Windows without going above the max recommended voltages when going for 4.0Ghz!

I was able to run 24/7 at 4.0Ghz on 1.38v core and 1.1v FSB on my Abit.

With this board I need 1.41v core, 1.5v CPU termination and 1.6900v PLL.

I did do one more max FSB run and was able to hit 550Mhz which is 50Mhz higher then I could hit with the Abit board.

I just wish I had a spar CPU laying around!

Hey I need some help as I'm a noob at OC'ing Intel's. I have an E8400 E0 and UD3P. Basically I have been messing around and 3.6Ghz is easy 9x400 I keep lowering the CPU Vcore, currently I'm at 1.175 in bios and 1.136 reported in ET6/CPUZ. I have been just doing this as it seems that I'm missing something as anything I try it wont boot above 400FSB. I'm on the F5 bios, my mem is OCZ and running on the 2.66D currently at 1066 PL8 5-5-5-15.

I didnt think that I would need to mess w/ the ram timings so far as when I bump it up I go for the same 1066 speed. But maybe I need to change to PL9?

I raised all the voltages, left the reff on auto as I though they would keep a good ratio?

    What am I missing?

Am I supposed to only have 4 led's light on the board I turned all the DES stuff and in bios off so I thought that it should stay at full power so 6 led's?

Also I'm kind of disappointed as the DES seems to only lower voltages if your on stock settings. It will still lower the multi when you OC but stops lowering the Vcore, or am I missing something?

Ledge, ditch the F5 BIOS, it did not play nice for me. Try the F7a beta BIOS. I was having trouble with 4GHz and a lot of voltages as well w/ F5. After flashing to F7a, I can run 4GHz with 1.3175v set in BIOS w/ LLC enabled giving me a rock solid 1.29v according to cpu-z, OCCT and ET6. I also only have 1.35 PLL, 1.22v cpu termination and 1.32v MCH. It SHOULD make a big difference for you as well.

That is what I have been using. I downloaded the F7a BIOS right after I installed the board.

I did get some BIOS settings help and was told to adjust the CPU skew (350) and MCH reference (200) and it worked. I am now able to boot at 4.0Ghz with PLL at 1.57 (I have not tried lower yet) and CPU termination at 1.3.

Thanks for the tip on the BIOS though.

Not tonight but until I find the max I will continue to try.

I am sure that 570FSB is not my max as it booted and ran without any stability or heat issues. I have to play with this BIOS for awhile longer before I will be content that I have hit top speed!
