dont feel so bad im in the same boat as you.
i have a newer stepping aswell, CACYC AC 0932FPMW but i have heard of acouple people getting those to unlock aswell.
my 790FXB-M2RSH doesnt seem to wanna do it no matter what i do. it just doesnt post once i set it. i have tried almost all the bios execept the one without the zip file. (27)
im not really sure what i should set everything else incase thats whats messing it up.
im running ddr2-1000's so i duno if i should tinker around with the ht setting cause everything is on auto and should sort itself out.
id like to believe that i could get at least 1 core working but this mobo seems to be um.. annoying to deal with to say the least.

Your chip is bad, man, that DFI will unlock 100% stable.
I used that mobo to unlock a 720 and three deneb 5000+, all were very easy to do and all those chips were good. I was using the August 20 bios for all of that, and everything worked perfect and the chips would clock clear up until either their limit or the DFI's HT Ref limit with 100% stability.
I would try each ACC value between -12 and 12 on all the cores and see what happens. If that fails, try vcore, but it's likely that your chip is not a good unlocker.
4140MHz on air, and 4020 as a QUAD here. 0929BPMW

that may be so but im not convinced yet. i think my board could be buggered as it has been sent it for repairs to the manufacturer and i know for a fact it was repaired and not replaced so i have doubts on the credibility of it.
which is why im looking for somone local who would be willing to test my cpu for me
also someone who bought the cpu the same day as me with the same batch or stepping number on it was a success so
damn cozmosland, 0 post in 4 years and 3 in last 2 days?! impressive!
