i think so, ive heard most people reporting it, at least on the ud5 and ud7. The ud9 is only rev 1. Im not sure about the ud3r. you had some nice success with the ud3r.

probably, think about it, new egg moves so much. But the truth is that not many people have the rev 2.0, and micro center moves less than newegg, so itd make sense that if micro center had all 2.0 then newegg would too, but new egg would have larger quantity, so once you hear reports of rev 2.0 from newegg you can basically count on it. Your not satisfied with your ud3r? hahahaha
i dont have one right now,i have a serious problem of changing sockets and setups.
right now im on 775 UD3P,but i have a 3849B018 on the way and need to get a new
1366 MB to play with it,so im selling my EP45-UD3P rev1.0 MB and going back to 1366.
i just hope i can stay on 1366 longer than a month im hardware bi-polar,every month
or so i cant help but sell what i have to get what i dont have only to sell it for new stuff

I'd just like to comment that the Windows 7 (x64) install sequence advocated above WORKS!! I had exactly that problem with a pathetic 5.9 hard disk performance rating in Windows 7 as a result of my first install where I did, in fact, make the serious mistake of installing the Marvell drivers for the C300.
However, following the steps outlined above, the reinstall went very well, and I only installed the Marvell console drivers, along with the other latest drivers listed on the Gigabyte web site. After that I downloaded all the Windows 7 updates (it took several download sequences), and finally installed the 10-9 ATI drivers.
I then ran the Performance Index tool in Windows 7, and got the following:
CPU: Intel i7-980X (@4.350GHz) = 7.8 Rating
Memory: Corsair DDR3(1600)(12GB) @1450 = 7.7 Rating
Video: ATI HD5850 = 7.7 Rating
Disk Drive (C300) = 7.9 Rating
I'm sure with a little tweaking, I can raise the other values a bit. However, all in all, right now this thing is running stable at those settings, and gets along like a scalded cat!
Many Thanks for the tip on the install sequence to overcome the TERRIBLE Marvell drivers for the C300. Indeed, Marvell should be ashamed of itself for failing to provide a proper SATA3 6GB driver.
Best regards to everyone. TheBeagle

If I try to do 25x161 or higher on the bclk on my 980X I get post codes 25 or 26 with any bioses I've tried so far ( Fa, Fb5, and the GOOC WWF) using 3x 4GB sticks. I've done higher on my evga E760 and I've done searches on google and it appears the rev 2.0 UD7 has issues with 3x4GB.

25 is PCI problems, you havent bumped the pci-e freq have you? what are your other settings?
PCie is set to 100mhz & pci is at 33Mhz I don't change those because of the raid controller I have in my system. I was running similar voltage setting that I used on my E760. QPI PLL 1.24 IOH at 1.58 IOH vcore 1.24 ICH 1.18 I'm using standard on the vdroop setting so I had the voltage around 1.36 for the cpu. ram is around 1.64 & VTT 1.34. I've tried increasing the voltages, but no luck at the moment. I'll post later when I have more time to play with it. Does anyone know what post code 26 is?
QPI speed is set to 36X
Mem ratio tried 2:8 and 2:10
Uncore that I have tried are 18x, 20X, and 22X. The evga E760 could do 22X no problem. It looks to me like I just need to learn this board.

Got my UD5 2.0 sittin here in a box, damn pissed that the board block I got for it doesnt fit.
I booted it and played in the BIOS, but havn't had a chance to really OC my 940. I'll be back to talk timings

what block did you buy that didnt fit? if you have the block for rev 1.0 it wont fit b/c this revision has more phases plus reworked dual phase system.
I too would like to know which block wouldn't fit. I just ordered this board, its on its way right now. I was going to order the EK-FB KIT GA X58 which is supposedly good for the EX58 ud5 but on EKWaterblock's website it says it wont fit on the X58 ud5. I contacted them about it and they told me they couldn't confirm if the kit would work or not, they wanted me to send them a picture of the naked board.
What is the difference between the EX58 and X58 boards? Also does anybody happen to have a nude picture of this board?
The EK-FB KIT GA X58 block will NOT fit the UD5 REV2. As stated, the power phase setup has been redesigned.

the difference between EX and X58A is that the EX was replaced with the X58a, the x58a has redesigned almost everything, they even did the pci-e mod to the x58a so we can go over 105 pci-e. The power phases are redone, I dont think anyone makes blocks for the new UD5 yet.
Just got the board mounted and under water(cpu only obviously) and will start to overclock it soon. I hope it can do 180 blk with minimal voltage on my 940. I'd like to keep it as cool as possible for the rest of my loop.

180 blck should be no problem.
Thx for starting this thread, couldn't find anything anywhere else otherwise....
yup thats why i started it, it doesnt have that much info, but ill help you. I'm sure when more people buy the board/s we wil have more traffic.

Thought I should mention an odd occurance with my new board. First boot into the BIOS I got 6GB available memory but only 4GB usable. Weird problem but after I updated to the latest bios it's using all 6.
