    2600K L040B307 running Linx now at 5GHz 4/8 DDR 2133 1.33 bios 1.368 load ET6. She's making 69oC in a 20oC ambient on air! awesome.

    Have to do some work now but will tweak it out @ 5GHz tonight & if 5GHz is all its got im still v happy.

    Congrats on the good batch! I'm sure there is more than 5.0 on tap especially for benching.
    Ryzen 9 on the test bench... Sometimes older generation/tech as well.

    Thanks, just pure pot luck again!!! ordered the chip online using my phone & only just googled the batch today to find it was the same as chri$ch 5.6GHz beast.

    I'll be v happy with 5GHz 4/8 24/7 on air if it goes any more that'll just be more icing on the cake

    I've been beating up on it & messing with voltages for about 6 hours now & things are looking good. It's new edge has slipped back from 1.33 ~ 1.35v bios now after trying to get 5.2GHz to run LinX & it may slip further but I'm still very happy with it. No problem getting into windows x52 with internal pll disabled so its still got some more headroom.

    Here's the first run @ 1.33 followed by what its running now 1.35, looks like Gflops & bandwidth is a little better maybe it wanted the voltage all allong.

    Those numbers look great and without PLL is certainly a good indication of extra headroom. Mem numbers are tasty.

    Thats what I thought, numbers are even tastier bit gigher up the GHz scale. I havent fully tweaked the RAM out yet, probably not much left but they got plenty more headroom too

    Cool, bit of a strange one that but glad you have it sorted/worked round

    Let the re-test game commence

    ======

    Anyone got any advice on below???

    Just flashed my 6950 ~ 6970..... it runs but I am getting random pixels at the start of 3DMark! If I increase the power thingy in CCC it gets worse so will leave that allone. Looks like the card wants the powerplay removed from the BIOS as once the bench has been running for a few seconds its perfect & completed the bench. It also furmarks fine.
