Here the 20 cpu multi is a no go too.

For now I have my i7 920 like this :

The mem's are still with relaxed timmings.

Does anyone knows why the P6T Deluxe V1 and V2 have as 36x as the minimum QPI Link value ?? Only in Auto I get a smaller QPI multi!! Weird.

Shouldn't the QPI Link be < 4000MHz ? I only get this in Auto.

Thanks JWMc for doing the hardwork. Since yours is stable, it simply implies mine will be Prime stable too. I dont like to run such stuff for 11 hrs.... or my home will be as good as Suana

    I tried 4.2 Ghz @ 1.36V // QPI : 1.335 just for fun .... 3dMark (5 runs stable )

    Results :

    Updated my max OC HERE.

    4085 [215 x 19] @ CPUv 1.3125; PLLv 1.8; QTIv 1.30. This is only LinX 20 tested, not Prime95. [Temps 98/97/93/91 - OUCH!]
    4066 [214 X 19] @ CPUv 1.3125; PLLv 1.8; QTIv 1.30. This is only LinX 20 tested, not Prime95.
    4047 [213 X 19] @ CPUv 1.31875; PLLv 1.8; QTIv 1.3. Also LinX 20 tested, not Prime95.
    4020 [201 X 20] @ CPUv 1.31875; PLLv A; QTIv 1.225. Prime Small 8 hours.

Anything around or over 4.1Ghz requires better cooling than I have [Cooler Master V8]. But, LinX does run without crashing at 4104hz [216 X 19]; CPUv 1.31875; QTIv 1.325; PLLv 1.8; DRAM 1.62. It got up to 99 degrees on the 6th LinX run, so I turned it off. I think it would go higher with better cooling - especially since I can hit 4.1 with under 1.325v.

Should've bought the bigger cooler! Oh well. I like the way the V8 looks, and I can run close to 4.1Ghz on it...

**NOTE** interestingly, in prime blend, temps are 10 degrees cooler than LinX. I may be able to get a higher prime blend stable OC than LinX simply due to temps...

    Does that still count??

fall wind nice clock for the voltage, I do 1.305v at 4.0 GHz, seems like our CPU's are similar in that area.

This is perfect. I wish I had thought to suggest it first. Your columns look great and plus you have a sheet for each model. I really like what you came up with icecold.

Is there a way to update one of these spreadsheets sort of like a WIKI where we are trusting people not to bork up the existing data when they modify it? I think we can trust people on this forum enough to work it this way so we can keep growing the spreadsheet without relying on one person to do it. Besides it should have version control anyway so we can roll it back if someone blows it up.

Also I think we should be allowed to enter as many data points (rows) as we want for one chip. Such as: 3.8ghz, 4.0ghz, 4.2ghz etc so we can see how they scale as well. We can easily get carried away trying to make an uber spreadsheet that has everything you could possibly want but we can always add/combine data later.

I really like the 'Testing Method for Stability' column you made. I was going to suggest a pretty rigid (but not too excessive) set of criteria beyond what the OP stated to meet to have your data added but we can just strongly encourage certain testing methods and hope to see fairly consistent data in this column.

I'm going to tinker with Google docs for a bit..

Runs hot, although it's under water - GTZ+PA120.3+DDC3.2&XSPC top. Linx bumps up the temps to mid 70C (77/75/75/72), so it's 5C hotter than prime95. I fault my fans, and I'm running them in pull config w/o any gasket or shroud, should try them with a shroud and in push I think. GTZ orientation might be at fault, as well. room temp around 75F

Is that an ES or retail CPU?

EDIT: just finished 20 loops of linx, 25k problem size (5gb memory), no issues. I think this oc is pretty stable

EDIT2: dropped vcore another notch, CPU-Z show 1.312, running LINX problem size 10k no issues after 20 loops, problem size 25k, 5 loops and no issues so far . Temp dropped 5c!

As far as i can see batch A or B for i7 920 doesnt make any difference. Both can do 4+Ghz in low volt if you r lucky right?

4Ghz @ 1.3v is considered low volt right?

I certainly hope so since that what it takes to get my 920 to 4ghz Admittedly, with default settings on everything, vcore jumps up to 1.2 in CPU-Z... go figure

I'm pretty sure max is higher than 4.2ghz, although I didn't try. 4ghz is all I wanted really, don't see any point going for higher

    Important:

I haven't been updating this thread for quite a while, because I haven't had the time lately with attending school, but with your cooperation, the chart on the first page will be updated once a week with any new edits that have been made to the spreadsheet by members who own the i7. Be warned that if your entry does not have the important fields of temps attained with a stress utility (at least prime 95 or linx, no superpi temps...) or voltages included in your entry, it will be deleted. Here is the link for the spreadsheet http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?k...Pj3I84YAIFaRaw

According to cky2k6 spreadsheet it seems that batch B clocks better with less volt. Am i right or do i miss something?
