Mars: Speed Control Of FAN 1 and FAN 2

All 5 fan headers of the Foxconn Mars are provided with a sense. So it should be possible to monitor the fan speed:

But only 3 fans can be monitored and controlled in BIOS and Aegis Panel:

I like watching all speeds, temperatures, voltages, etc. in Everest. I know that`s a bit childish. FAN 1 and FAN 2 aren`t supported there either:

I was quite surprised seeing the BlackOps fan control recently. There are at least 4 supported fans in Aegis Panel - could be 5 or 6 because of the scroll down option (red mark). That`s unbelievable because Blackops users don`t need air cooling so much.

Is it possible to add speed monitoring for FAN 1 and FAN 2 for the Mars motherboard? That would be great.
I don`t dare to ask about speed control support.
Perhaps we could tranfer some BlackOps BIOS register marks to the Mars.

Nice posting LordIT. But if they set 4th and 5th fan to control form AEGIS they have to relase new BIOS with same settings.
I'm looking forward to new AEGIS, FLU and BIOS because in everything we have some buggs. But anyways, good question

    Thank you, Bullet92.
Perhaps there is a simple way to watch the fan speed of FAN 1/2. When I bought the Mars I had another BIOS/ Everst versions installed and sometimes I saw a fourth fan speed on my OSD screen - only for a few seconds then it disappeared, came back and so on. I tried many BIOS/ Everest versions to get it back but had no succsess. I hope there are only one or two little changes in register to get it.

Please have look at the tools saaya discribed in posting #37:

    hey guys,

its a hardware limitation, the chip that controlls the fanspeed can only do so for 3 fans.
thats why on the blackops we went for 2 of those control chips, which is unique afaik
theres no other board doing this... anyways, unfortunately its not possible to control the fanspeed of the other fans, sorry

what you can do however is connect 2 fans to one plug, so they both get adjusted simultaneously
but you need to mod the fan cables for that of course...

I don`t want to control the speed at all costs. I only want to read the speed of FAN 1/2. I know that the speed of FAN 1/2 is 100% all the time. I can reduce that speed with my Zalman fan controller. That works quite nice.

Is there a chance to let Everest show the fan speed of FAN 1/2?
