    6.5 I thought that excludes most of the cpu's after the b0 revision took a speed hit. Aren't you setting the bar a bit high
    Hey well your really xtreme
    Well I gotta go on the aidswalk los angeles now, I didn't raise much only $150 but it's for charity and well some of my relatives are sending checks late But WOW 6.5 ghz, I'mma still working on getting this lowly Q9550 to 4.2 , but then again I'mma still waiting to use my EP45T board, newegg gotta send me my reaper so I can get that kinda FSB

    Next time your about to kill one cpu this way, please send it to me first i want throw some 2.2volt action with in under LN2, Phase Change or Intel Stock Cooler before killing it my self, same goal but more people benefit from it, i wont do extreme overclocking on my cpu's i need use for my new WCG systems so i would need something to bench with before killing it, not going to spend 900euros just go under ln2 and possibly kill the cpu .

    Yes if cpu cant bench at over 6.5ghz it deserves death but let some other people benefit from it before killing it, same goal on abused cpu's

    So far i have killed 2 gulftowns when running at 6.5ghz with 2.1volts and Chilled Liquid Cooler, bowth been pre-abused chips given by friends to kill them , sadly they bowth have had allready been degraded imc due overclocking under ln2 so could not run mem above 1700 with 10-10-10 latencies, 11-11-11 was only thing i got stable.

    I got i7 860 waiting, its also abused chip with overcloking in ln2, degraded also, so i maybe gonna try that on this chip.

    How cold was your chiller? Getting to 6GHz on anything hotter then LN2 is good.

    Liquid temps are at -50, cpu temps much higer didnt check cpu temps but they were high, running 6.5ghz and 2.1 or 2.2volts will kill 980x chips kind of fast way, not fast as OP did without cooler tough .

    6.5ghz werent prime or linx stable, when ever i did start prime95 it would crash system with in 10secounds due cooling.

    Are you sure you don't mean 5GHz not 6.5GHz? I'm sorry I just believe anyone has or had a 980x that would even boot XP @ 6.5GHz on anything above -100C. No matter the vcore.

    Enough high volts and it will boot, i dont remember tough was it cascade or chilled liquid at the moment i destroyed those chips, i have disease that sometimes causes short time memory losses.

    Its more likely i used cascade tough.. but i was thinking chilled liquid since i dont remember that moment and i usually use chilled liquid most of the time.

    Edit: I remember most of the things due i write them in paper, i write (C) in end of results for bowth Chiller and Cascade.

    The fact that you actually tried/thought you would get anything "stable" at 6.5GHz tells me a lot

    As i told, not stable 6.5.

    No idea where you got that "stable" from.

    Hey man, did not need to wait until..

    exact solution;
