Asus Laptop
Settings previously stable with 1253 no longer stable on 1204 At this rate I should just go back to 1053!
i7 3770k - p8z77-v pro - 4x4gb - gtx680 - vertex 4 256gb - ax750
i5 3570k - z77-pro3 - 2x4gb - arc-1231ml - 12x2tb wdgp r6 - cx400
heatware
I am on 1053 and for the life of me my MAX is only 4.6GHz @ 1.375v but at 4.5GHz I can go 1.275v. Not sure all of you posting above 5Ghz are using BIOS then booting into Windows or using Asus Tuner II?
Any advantages on using a higher BLCK with the Sandy/Memory/Mobo? I can reach a 107.2 block bringing my memory up to 2000MHz @ 7-7-7-24 with no problems.
Going to use Asus TunerII for a bit before I jump to 1253..

Also I disabled in BIOS Intel Speed Step as well as Intel V Technology and also changed in W7 Power Management to High Performance. But my core speed & multi is still dropping to 16 = 1600MHz until the cores are being used then they go up.. Anyone know what settings to put into BIOS to make overclock stay on?

Strange....I've found I need more CPU voltage to boot to windows 7 compare with Windows XP...
With 1.18v I can Prime 95 For 10 min+ @XP @ 4.2Ghz but not even get into Windows 7 with the same setting...

I'm still having cold dual boot problem.
The PC was off for aprox. 16 hours, and when i turn on the PC it first booted, for which seemed like a check. Then rebooted with with no signal to the monitor. I had to manually force a shutdown to let the computer boot with signal to the monitor. Also it failed my overclock with the F1 option, although the overclock I'm running has been rock-solid :/
I'm confused...
the overclock failed message is due to you manually shutting down the PC. Try a lower ram voltage at 1.6ish...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree
Hmm running 1,6v on the ram atm, but did you mean that it'll fix the dual boot problem? Thing is, when I've had the PC off for an amount of time, it starts with a dual boot - and the second reboot it just sits powered on without signal to the monitor, which again forces me to manually hold the power on button to shut it down - and then back on.
The lowering ram voltage may fix that, as you mentioned - will check tonight. Although, the most enoying thing is the dual boot everytime the PC has been off for a longer period
4.8GHz @ 1.350v stable now still on 1053....
