ok, so i'll install that when i get home, that 1.85v profile, is that for running 1.85vDIMM?
thats fairly high isnt it? im running stock cooling on my trident x with a fan pointed at them.

could i load the trident x profile, lower the vDIMM to something more acceptable, and then test from there?

Try first with 2X4GB and in bios set ram's XMP change to 2600 (with all mem. settings on auto) see if it boot to windows.

ok, then if it does, i should try the trident x preset for clocking it up to 2600+ (im using the 2400 C10 tridents, not the 2600's)

What I'm trying to say is...if you wanna oc your 2400 to 2600 and to check if your cpu's imc can go the distance.

I'm not sure about trdntX preset, haven't test it yet

gonna have to try XMP settings, then maybe the new bios when i get home.
is the 0075 bios newer or older than the 0701?

thanks for your help anyway dumo. appreciated.

There are single sided and double sided 2400er DIMMs out there. SuicidePhoenix' Rams are double sided, whereas some german testers had single sided ones which seem to be worse...

That's wrong, 03xx is always Samsung, 02xx is Hynix.

Yeah, the first batches seem to be double-sided Hynix, and the current ones are all single-sided Samsung.

Yep AVulgarPicture, yours are samsung / single sided.

Will only buy a confirmed double sided kit hynix. Otherwise it seems to be not worth the money. I think there is no argument to buy them atm.

    that explains
0701 wont work right with those single sided 4GB, TRFC needs to loosen, you can manually set 300+ or flash to 0075

you prolly wont be able to go high on frequency due to single sided density per chip
so hang around 2550'ish and go as tight as possible with dram voltage you are comfortable with

1.80v 2550 you can sorta tighten to:

    ok for benching 32m
