    Best retail 3770K ever?

I saw couple very good results with retail Core I7 3770K and decided try one's luck. I bought(leased) six cpu
Batch L153A673 tested three two weeks ago, killed one and no managed succes, only 6490MHz max valid.
After this I have to test another three cpu's but I brocken one pin in the socket lga1155 Asus Maximus V Gene. My friend RomanLV fixed it so I bought LN2 again and tested, tested, tested 3770K
First of them cpu was pretty good on AIR

    Mounted rig
    Intel Core I7 3770K
    ASUS Maximus V GENE
    Kingston DDR3 2333MHz KHX2333C9D3T1K2/4GX
    ASUS 7300 LE
    WD Velociraptor 1500HLFS
    Antec TPQ-1200W OC
Magmun CPU LN2 pot by XtremeLabs.org
and poured full cpu pot LN2 )

    Max validation

Had some issue with BCLK over 109.5

    SuperPi 1M 5s218ms

    SuperPi 32M 4m56с200ms

    Pifast 10s42ms

    wprime32 3s5ms

    wprime1024 112s718ms

    Pick of the rig

Thaks a lot http://www.service.dp.ua for opportunity to find such a great cpu

    You bought(leased) six cpu's ?

So I assume that you returned the ones that did not clock well, and they resale them, hopefully not as new.

I don't think you'll find cpu with same clock as mine. Tested four chips ander air/water, one of them(not golden, another cpu) could boot and load Windows XP at 5000MHz and 1.4V but I killed its. Other chips couldn't load OS at 5000MHz 1.45V. I asked few guys in my country who overclock 3770K with good air cooling and they had several cpus which were very poor like "Other chips couldn't load OS at 5000MHz 1.45V"
So I think most of 3770K are not good for bench, but need more statistic.

    Awesome cpu Major

Who knows you'll find another "gem" after less than 30+ 3770Ks binned (i'm using SB average for a 5.8Ghz+ chip)

With only 6pcs. binned consider yourself lucky

SAsha did you save a bunch of nuns from a burning church recently? The overclocking gods have blessed you..not just because of the golden cpu but the fact that your buddy roman managed to fix a dead board and you were able to come back and pull this one off. its amazing! This story is beyond awesome. dont do something stupid and kill that cpu. you have hit solid gold.

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away and know when to run
You never count your benchmark scores when you're sittin' at the bench table
There'll be time enough for countin' when the overclocking's done....
