Actually that's awesome mem freq/timings for the BCLK

I picked up a 670 last night. Tried it first in the P55A-UD6, but for some reason, it won't boot (8.8. post code, restart, repeat). 860 works fine in the board, so I dunno what's up yet.

It works well in the P55-UD6 though. Boots to the desktop at 240 BCLK on WC pretty much out of the box. It took me a bit to get mem stuff figured out, but I think I'm ready to put it on the SS today.

10x divider isn't bad either. These sticks (DomGTs of course) do 7-7-6 up to 1075MHz @ 1.68V, but there seems to be a bit of a hiccup (strap limit/BCLK hole) 210-219, so I can't quite get them there on this setup and don't have enough BCLK on WC to try hiwa's method yet

Quick testing. I'll kick up the QPI next time. Oh, they'll do 6-6-5 up to about 950MHz @ 1.68V, but usually need to drop to 6-7-6 for that with high BCLK...not here

    You're right!
QPI does affect more than timings
High QPI with high BCLK needs high VTT as well

Did a PI run with high QPI & it obviously ran faster

just with high BCLK, very hard to push QPI go higer

    GA-H55M-UD2H coldbug modification

Okay, I couldn't wait for Hicookie to return from his biz trip, so did some quick reverse engineering. Here's the modification for the GA-H55M-UD2H and the socket pin it's connected to. Normally, the resistance of this pin is ~ 750ohm. Connect to GND means it'll be 0ohm. Just trace back to resistor and remove the resistor. Should actually work on any board ... but I'm not responsible if this turns out incorrect.

Anyway, just did the mod and I can boot up at -130°C no problem now. Same 661 as I'm using with the Trinergy.

Works for me, but if you're not comfortable trying this out yourself wait for Hicookie's confirmation!

This the same pin that is pulled to GND on the EVGA P55 boards? Wonder what that pin is responsible for.
