I didn't realise that the notifications weren't working. I turned them all off from the start. Getting emails or logging in to get a popup is annoying. So I guess I'm glad they don't work, or I'd have to keep turning it off

Have “old” posts/ threads been deleted or lost? I can’t find posts/ threads past a certain data and if I do a search to try and find them I get the following error message:

Wow, the consistently negative feedback is just great I love to see people find something to complain about no matter how well the rest works.

I wonder, are you this 'perceptive' in your regular life, (which I think, is right under 'irritating' in the dictionary for some reason. Webster's should really fix that one day) or is it the anonymity of the internet that allows you to fully express your inner child (ishness)?

The search needs work. So did the speed and stability, and it's been done. Mentioning things that are an issue politely and waiting for them to be fixed (and I'm sure they will when there's time to get it done) works just as well and is often less likely to create and environment of agitation. Don't you think? (Literal and Rhetorical references can apply)

The sum of my post? You seem to complain. When the complaint is sorted out, you find another one to moan about. When the search works, there'll be other things. When there's nothing left to troll about, will you move on to somewhere else?

No, it isn't but there are changes that had to be made with the new software for this spefic part and it takes a lot of time.

The search is not "broken" and it is not beyond belief as some might want you to believe. The index needs to be rebuilt and I was changing the search engine on this server to "Sphinx" where it will cut down the rebuild time from 3 days to roughly 30 minutes.

Your entitled to your opinion as am I. I find nothing wrong with your post either as I have rather thick skin. To answer your Q, I am this gruff and unfiltered in person (I have a sarcastic comedic approach to life which does fail with more regularity online than in real life) and it does rub some ppl the wrong way but, I make no apologies for it or the way I am, you either deal with me or don't, plain and simple.

...but, but, but Dave, you know me a bit. Patience is NOT my strong suit. Of course, I'm also still waiting for the day I can stop adding the "color="#000000"" to my posts so I get black and not the funky grey that screws with my eyes.

Well, search is currently borked enough that I can't easily find any of the posts I have my videos in. I just killed my YouTube account and I'm switching all the links over to the new ImageShack links. Thanks for the heads up anyway FUGGER. . .say, is there a way to embed ImageShack videos the same way the YT videos are? Right now, it seems the only way I can post them is as a url.
