    New CoolerMaster Case CM590

    Yes that's another new case from CoolerMaster, it's a mix between a CM690 and a STACKER 810. Pictures are more clear than words so, voici ! There is no price for the moment unfortunately.

    [Edit] Price will be around 60 €/$ . (a good cheap case, way cheaper than the 9 hundred)

    similar in design to the Antec 900 and Lian Li A16 midi tower stacker.

    This will be good competition against the Antec 900 I reckon. it not only looks better but seems to have better cooling as well.

    I count a maximum 8x 120mm fans that can be installed in the case

    The Antec 900 is ugly with the the top section with the fan and peanut holder tray

    I guess it's the new Centurion judging by the logo. Always a good low priced entry case.

    looks like the top is ready for a radiator 2x120mm, this case is very similar to the antec900 with easier water cooling setup

    Looks like an exact replica of the Antec 300, or the 300 is an exact replica of this.

    Easier to mod the top for a 3x120 radiator than the 690. Thats what sold me on this over the 690.

    for water cooling this is better than the CM690 since there is no top plastic cover and no permanent HDD rack.

    Still... I wished Coolermaster released an upgraded version of the CM690
    Something pretty much the same but
    -taller (add 2inches)
    -longer (add 1-2inch)
    -less fan grills or far less restrictive fan grills
    -better designed side panels
    -larger cable holes

    On the antec 300, the six lower bays can only receive hard disks,so the remain 3 bay are modular, it's why they call it 300 because of these 3 modular bays.

    300 -> 3 modular bays.
    900 -> 9 modular bays.
    1200 -> 12 modular bays.

    Yes ,I agree , the Antec 300 ,have only the top three 5,25 drive bays, the lower six 3,5 drive bays are exclusive only to 3,5 size hard drive , this CM590 is in my opinion much Much better than the Antec 900 because dont have the ugly tilted roof of the 900,the lack of cable management of the 900 , the ugly side panel (ugly mix of mesh and acrilic ) of the 900 , and the lack of holes under the PSU of the 900 (to allow the PSU to intake external fresh air )

    In the photo below A owner took the idea of the CoolerMaster CM690 to mod his own Antec 900 with a mod hole under the PSU

    How long has the 690 been around? First Antec 900 I saw with a hole for the PSU to flip and breathe though the bottom was over 1 year ago. This is a nice cheap case though. But I do think the 690 looks better than this one.

    very new, like early autumn 07. not sure what you mean about the Antec 900, stock it does not have a hole underneath, but modded yes I've seen pics of someone cutting a hole underneath eons ago.

    I hate the fan grilling on the CM690, and the CM590 is using the same rubbish.

    This certainly looks a hell of alot better than the 900 and will no doubt be alot better made , even for watercooling its going to be a great case with the dual 120mm fan spots at the top.

    Well i didn't take the idea of the CM 690. I wanted to have the cables closer to the motherboard tray of my 900. The only way to do that was to flip the PSU and the PSU needed to have space for the fan to pull in air.

    Here is the work log for that mod.
    http://www.xcpus.com/forums/case-mod...cable-mod.html

    Now i like how the 590 has the same basic design for the drive bays as the 900 while overcoming the short falls of the 900. The lack of a plastic top is nice though i don't like the front panel being in one of the 5.25" bays. Now if it where interchangeable with any of the 5.25" bays that would be great. Adding more flexibility in the modding possibilities of the case. Overall it looks like a good case with allot of modding potential.

    Any idea of when they are coming out in the UK? 690 is just out of my budget and this looks like it would be just the ticket!

    http://www.casetek-europe.com/super-case/CK-1022-5.htm

    This is the perfect super midi tower for now.

    1)It is wider than LianLi & CM you mentioned so the large vga can be installed without interacting with HDD
    2)It has additional front fan module to install the fan
    3)It has holes for cable modding
    4)It is completely tool free (unless going to B-ATX transformation)
    5)Antivibration on hdd case & 3 fans (two front - one rear)

    Cons:
    1)Could be quieter (quality is medium-range)
    2)It should have more space behind tray for the cables
    3)No alluminium (lian -li good)
    4)No removable tray (lian -li good)

    So a Casetek design + lian-li aluminium/motherboard tray + coolermaster tool free/antivibration is
    the perfect combination for me

    Just add another HDD Cage and you got an Antec900! eheheheh

    It's a good case, sure, but I think that copying the Antec would be nice.
    The second HHD Cage would be a perfect "seat" to the WC bomb,
    and some bigger feet to intake air to the PSU would top it.

    the grills look really thin, I like that!
