and i just ordered a brand new 785G board...

can't wait to see some proper micro-atx boards base on 890GX and 890FX; the only fully featured 7series microatx board so far is the jwele 785GMT extreme; i hope that this changes with the new chipsets

Good! Since I'll be buying a 785G for an HTPC, I might as well wait till 880G arrives. I hope it'll be cheap.

So should the 890 boards be coming out within the first week of march or so? I just ordered my crosshair iii, but I'll send it back if I only have to wait a week or two for an 890 board

Good, I was hoping to update my HTPC with a new board, I would love to get 4xxx class video. Can't wait to hit Frys once the boards are out.
While I work for AMD, my posts are my own opinions.

it would be so nice if nVidia would just give up and let AMD chipsets do SLI like the Intel P55/X58

doesn't matter cause my next card will be 5850/5870 depending unless nVidia really shows something in March

I work for AMD, we don't make boards. And, I am not hooked into the client side. I'm sure I could go hit some connections up to try to get a free board, but I don't mind supporting our board partners.

However, I won't be buying any CPUs

    Should be RV7xx, definitely.
These chipsets look nice. I'd love to see some boards using these, though, hope there will be some exciting solutions!

Will Thuban require dual power plane motherboards or will they work on single plane boards.
