ASUS and Intel Nordic OC weekend

It's this time a year again, when overclockers in the Nordics gather to test out what the new technology from Intel has to offer. This year it was scaled down and only had 5 participants: Sampsa and SF3D from Finland and Kinc, Crotale and myself from Sweden.

Most of the results are not publishable due to NDA but several world records were broken. I did a quick run with an i7 setup + HD5870 single card though which seems to be the WR in Vantage for now. Big thanks to Intel Nordic and ASUS Nordic for making this possible!

    Score:

    Setup:

    Intel Core i7 975 @ F1EE
    ASUS Rampage II Extreme
    2x2GB A-Data XPG 2200+ CL8
    HD5870 1GB @ Tek9 5.0
    Dimastech Benchtable

    Some other pics:

Thanks to Sampsa for providing pictures. I'm sure the others will bring you more results and photos later

Thanks Asus (Kinc) and Intel (Thomas) for your continuous support!

We all tested Core i7-975 Extreme Edition + 4 x Asus EAH5870 with LN2 (Kinc, elmor, crotale, SF3D and me) with following setup:

Core i7-975 Extreme Edition (week 51, retail)
    Asus P6T7 SuperComputer
    4 x Asus EAH5870
    3 x Corsair Dominator GT DDR3-1866
    Catalyst beta-drivers

    VGAs on air:

    VGAs on LN2:

It was fun weekend, but like elmor said unfortunately we can't publish the most interesting and amazing results we ran during the weekend due to NDA we all respect

When we walked in to Intel labs, we all signed NDA for Gulftown. We benched those monsters whole weekend and results are more than impressive. We haven't seen anything like that anywhere so far.
It feels a bit lame to post this here, but I guess it was needed.

This was very good event, but I have no screenshots to post Without NDA I tested only few 960's with elmor and one 975.

Thanks Thomas from intel and Marcus from ASUS! You guys rock!

Will add some screenshots and pics later..
You are as good as your samples are!

Does the NDA make any sense when a guy named shamino already showed what Gulftown can do?

    You tell me

Breaking NDA is not just a joke in some cases. This might be one of those cases, who knows

Yeah, sham already showed us what Gulftown can do but that's only one Gluftown showed. We've to wait and see what have SF3D and Elmor done. Seems that was a pretty nice event with a lot of fun.

    Waiting for pics

Here is some pictures. I did not found too much screenshots to post, but at least something.

We totally focused to something else, so dont even bother to judge those screenshots you will find later

Here is a nice preparation factory. Just throw cards to them and you will get them back fully modded and insulated

    Phase Elmor: Making cards naked

Phase Crotale: Naked, but not perfect. Must mod them!

Phase Kinc: They need something more sexy to wear.. LN2 pots + black stuff

End results can be seen above in the thread

Here is one shot of 975 CPU and only screenshots to share

    Max 05 with it:

Max Vantage CPU test with it:

Then some other setup with mighty MARS card

Is that full pot in there ???

You are as good as your samples are!

Looking forward to seeing the Gulfie results...
Sorry for my slight disrespect or lack in knowledge....

Is the "poor" frequency on 975 due lack in interess with the Gulfie around, or just no luck?? I would have expected 400mhz more considering its at a Intel location with plenty of stock *hopefully*
