    OK. No problems Gautum!

I can't talk that much yet, but like always, every CPU is individual. Mine is not that good.
You are as good as your samples are!

Awaiting for someone to show us how effecient 5870's are

    As requested.

Looks like you have too many DDR3 boards already,no
need for another one, someone help out here

BTW will this board be shipped anywhere (the winner is, not just the States as often is)?

Very impressive scores. I have been trying this competition since the start and at the same clocks I am around 1500 points behind the top 3. Hopefully when the competition ends someone is willing to share some tips and tweaks for '05 and help an '05 noob out. I will say I am enjoying the Low Clock Challenges more than LN2 runs lately even though I don't place very well in them.

eeeeh, didn't see that. i'll try to join this LCC asap on AMD. atm, i only have 4x 4890, but 2 of them are crap (925/1050 max ). Anyway, i'll post some result soon, at least to join the contest, even if i'm not so good. Hope some 5870 or at least better 4890 to come soon. :p

Haha.. I just realized that there is no mention about cooling methods. On AMD side, cooling will make a huge difference.
NB overclocking is almost all about temperature, so I was really stupid and pushed my system on air

Now when I have very good efficiency already, I just need some cold for the CPU. I already got some good scores on RB-C2, but need to do even better with colder temps.

Ha, i thought about this, but i didn't want to tell you before the end of the contest
I'm ready for 4Ghz NB it seems with some cold on it. And trying to reach 900 6-6-5, bu i definitely need better cards.

    update 2..

    Setup:
    AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE retail @ 3528MHZ
    ASUS M4A79T Deluxe (1.02G)
    A-Data D9GTR 1600+ (6-5-5-15-16-1T)
    3 x ATI Radeon 4890 @ 1050 / 1100
    2x 1200W Thermaltake TP
    Win Vista 32-bit
    Catalyst 9.8

    Screen with all details:

    Compare link
    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=5022424

I think this was my best shot. No time to run it again, cause there is so much else to do. I was already in the edge with this score.. system crashed 1 second after I got that screenshot

    Good luck to all participants
You are as good as your samples are!

I hear you, best I've done is 37K at 4.18GHz

Thats a wicked fast time SF3D, Not sure i can beat that with pure hardware. I tried with the same exact config and speeds + tighter ram and am 200 points slower......

This is one of the things I was working on that I was being secretive about. Unfortunately there is to much of a bottleneck at these CPU speeds for it to be of any use but...

AMD CAS 6 WR Ram clock?

That's a really sick IMC on that CPU

I hope you're not still on air cooling?

never was on air from the beginning Nothing special about the IMC.....In fact it's a boxxed retail, I just have a knack for completely destroying the 1800 wall and have done so numerous times....

    No more joke's eh?

You can be competitive without the tweaks

Then I understand how you can hit 1880CLx ... still very impressive, though.

I'm wondering. Obviously the 3.4G NB clock is limited by the memory overclock, but wouldn't it make more sense to loosen up the ram and increase the NB clock to 4G+? I presume you figured that already so either you're not at those temperature levels that allow you to hit high NB clocks or I'm wrong and tight timings are just plain better.

Well when someone above posted about running 4000NB I

You of all people should know you can not exceed CPU core with NB effeciency goes out the window if you match or exceed CPU with NB.

Tight timings are going to win this one. Here's my fastest run so far......BTW this board is damaged goods so might be why I can't match SF3D( black slots are borked ).

    OK here's my final.

I can't submit this because this is not my account however the pro account was a necessity for tuning per GT's.

Preety sure the board is toast now but it served it's purpose.

Tweaks used, I made a custom profile with Fusion to kill all useless services.

Hardware tweaks well none really I froze ram and got my cards nice and chilly as they were thermal throttling.

    The rig and aftermath.
