    Hey - who's still around?

Just started this back up again and wondering who's still around?

Also it looks like they made the tasks longer again - my GTX460 is crunching at about 26 hours/WU for these long ones. Is that normal or is something wrong? Should I drop it down to normal length tasks to get better scores for quick turn-around?

Hope things pick up around here again now that WCG has quieted down - at least until GPUs come back for that!

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

So you can do Furmark, Can you Grid???

Great to see ya FaYt - Looks like we still got SAM, Werdwerdus, 5pot and Mumak as well... even if they have gone a little quiet.

I think it's a bit too easy to get pie though...

Since the short ones dried up, I haven't crunched for little while. I check periodically for more. Since temps started rising, only crunch at night with the GPU. Hopefully they will load more so I can crunch some more. My 660ti is hungry.
faYt, hope it all works out for you. Had one in 2003. Not fun to go through. Good luck.

Hey, I'm still around, though I'm deciding which projects to run. Currently sharing nV GPUs between GPUGrid and Einstein.
You see longer times because of new Noelia tasks. Some of them worked OK, but some ended up with errors right after start. They're still quite buggy and I don't like to see them in my queue...

Yeah - here's the server status. Looks like there's only a trickle of Shorts left... 35 in progress, 1 waiting when I looked.

What all projects are left? I have a handful of Nathan, and then a bunch of Noelia since I've come back... are there any others?

They attempted to launch some new GIANNI_VIL short tasks recently, but those seem to be a big fail: http://www.gpugrid.net/forum_thread.php?id=3365
Btw, don't buffer too many tasks, otherwise you'll miss the early return bonus - I have set my caches to 0.10 + 0.10

Well, it looks like that only started today - which should mean they'll fix it up and we'll get some new short WUs in a few weeks! And the good news is they're erroring out almost immediately! That's always a plus!

And I can't really help it. My internet here is very unreliable, so I have to have a decent cache for WCG to keep the CPU from going idle. Unfortunately this means I miss some the bonus deadlines here on the longer 'long tasks'... the Nathans I'll get in on time, but the Noelia's - maybe for the 48 hour bonus...

So many problems again - tasks running slow (VIL) or crashing (NOELIA). I think I'm going to take a break at GPUGrid...

I'm brining a 660Ti back to GPUGrid in about an hour ... if things are too wonky I'll switch it to Einstein until they get straightened out.

<edit>my first 2 WUs are NOELIA_klebe but seem to be running OK for now</edit>

After a rough start, it looks like things are smoothing out for me - http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...ps3&name=31797

Not a lot of fire power for now - just slow and steady.

With slow and steady you've achieved #11 place on the world's best GPUGrid team ... sounds like a solid plan to me

    Top 10 by next month!

And I'm more than content with the slow and steady... just wish my budget afforded me more options on that front.

hey I'm still around just been occupied with other and new interests. So goes life for me, interests come and go, intensify then fade, and eventually come back around. Luckily for the GPUGrid scientists I can just set and forget (mostly).
    Main: i7-930 @ 2.8GHz HT on; 1x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    2nd: i7-920 @ 2.66GHz HT off; 1x EVGA GTX 650 Ti SSC 100% GPUGrid
    3rd: i7-3770k @ 3.6GHz HT on, 3 threads GPUGrid CPU; 2x GIGABYTE GTX 660 Ti OC 100% GPUGrid
    Part-time: FX-4100 @ 3.6GHz, 2 threads GPUGrid CPU; 1x EVGA GTX 650 100% GPUGrid

Going to start putting up a few points again ...

Been working on getting POEM to 50M, WCG to 50M, MW to 10M, Einstein to 10M, PrimeGrid to 10M
Starting back on DRT to 10M but that will be ATI so no real impact here.
Next up is Asteroids to 1M ... this will bring my team rankings on all milestones from 25K to 10M to #2.
    Don't think I'll ever catch #1 glennpat - http://stats.free-dc.org/stats.php?p...a0a6b5b0adde22
