Not much different than seen before, just green and with same cooler as P35...
Looking forward to release of this board or the X48...

Nice layout. Price needs to come down.
Thanks Revv23 4 The Advice.
Would the new Bone Trail's BIOS have enough OC'ng juice for my needs?
I hear that their BIOS allows some options, but must admit I am hypnotised by the power that OC'ng brings, especially if you are silly enough to jump in and go 64bit w/ these newest offerings of X38 and 45nm. The DFI warning will be taken into consideration. But this DAW will not be used in my live shows until stability has been achieved.
I have read OC'ng forums for years, and never posted as I would bore you guys with my hardware synths and DSP creations. But the newer apps already are supporting SSE4, and selective thread placing on Core 2 Duo's and Quads. The DFI boards I have read about really sound niche, and quite sick.
I will try to watch this thread, along w/ reviewers to see what's going on.
Thanks, hopefully I can be an avid tweaker using different apps, but none the less,.......an avid tweaker.

I thought DFI was going to skip X38 and go straight to X48.
The pic above seems more like the P35 board with the name photoshopped to X38. It still has the same silly mistake DFI made with the P35. (square MOSFET cooler to the left of the RAM slots versus the rounded ones else where)
Skipping the X38 chipset was never a consideration. DDR3 compatibility is still up in the air because of ram prices and thus slow enthusiast adoption.
I wouldn't worry about the Bios caution on the DFI if I were you they have hired some really great help on Oskar Wu's caliper to assist in pumping out stellar Bios updates and from what I see and experience its all been top flight in the Bios Coding

"Stellar"... "Top Flight"
Maybe this applies to the P35 but the BIOS for the 680i LT is beyond a mess. You just have to take a peek into the DFI support forums to see the state of affairs at DFI.
ihmo dfi is far away from beeing the best choice for the intel platform. A lot of people think, cause they where good on the amd platform it also makes them good on the intel platform.

* Default factory speed is for noobs.
* Everything must go above the speed that the factory consider safe.
* Everything for more performance
* Everything fits, and everything can be broken.
* Most problems can be fixed by adding a volt or two.
* Post things in your signature that makes no sense at all.
And that looks just like a photochopped P35 T2RL...
RE DFI versus Asus... I have Asus P5K P5K DLx P5K3, Maximus SE and the DFI...the DFI out performs them all...period. The only benefit of the Maximus is 16X lanes.
Highest OC on the Asus boards: 4050 Highest OC in the DFI: 4105.
Other than the great GFX support I am not real happy with the Maxi..I would be willing to try the DFI X 38... but TBH X 38 is not that exciting...if you run CF yes...if not no.
Not real crazy about the Maximus: runs hot!

Where have all the DFI-Street members gone...? 12 online on DFI Support Forum Either its a damn good board that doesn't need support or people have moved to XS
--> Disaster_Master
Nice pickture, that version looks better, cause its easyer to disconect north and south for licquidcooling and not have to modify the mosfetscooler.

this one? looks great imo, I love green and the spec seems very good. hope the price comes down though.
Is this board going to be about the best board for 775 chips?
I want a Q9450 and 2x3870's in crossfire. I know there not out yet, but there not too different to what's out now... will it be the best board for the job or is there better?

the DFI for 40-50 mhz FSB+ over the rest is way to much... 370 $?!
