I plan to make a game that only runs AA on ATI hardware. Scratch that, the game will only run on ATI hardware.

Thats just... EPIC! Everyone can download the whole kit for free and u only have to pay if u start to make more than $5000 with it!
Good on them.

Its a good way for a basement developer to get a game out and see if their idea will make money.

Granted yes its a good way for people itching to make a game to get noticed, people in this thread are acting like they are the only company to do this. Valve has had a Source Developer's Kit available free for a long time now, hence why there are so many free source based games out there
